Here for your consideration is a '59 MGA  1500 roadster that has recently undergone an extensive mechanical rebuild and re-assembly. Most of its mechanicals. fuel and brake lines. front to rear wiring have been removed from the car.  rebuilt as required and re-installed in the car in order to re-ceate a 'driver quality' car to enjoy using in the manner it was designed for. rather than a 'trailer queen' that is too nice to drive. Going by info in vin plate. It was originally supplied new with black paintwork. but is now red (appears to match 'orient red') with exception of under hood and trunk area's. which remain black.  As can be seen in the images. has some later style rear fenders from an MGA 1600 mk1 fitted.  Paint. nbsp;body and interior had been restored. probably +/-  20 years ago and have been freshened up as required. Interior panels and convertible top are not originals. but good quality aftermarket 'Ammco' replacements showing some previous light use. the rear window of convertible top is slightly cloudy. but its still pliable and usable as is. sidecurtains are in thier bag behind driver seats. look to be useable . the spare wheel cover that protrudes from trunk into area behind seats is NOT installed but present. and should probably be replaced. Previous owner began restoration and overhaul of the chassis. replaced floor rails. replaced original battery carrier with one slightly larger than original to take a modern 12v battery (looks stock however)  front end rebuilt with new bushings and seals. (bushings upgraded to nylatron or equivalent)  new springs front and rear.  4 new shocks. rear hub oil seals replaced. new dunlop brand (OEM)  wire spoke wheels and radial tires as well as the brake components (oem Lockheed parts mostly. apart from master cylinder which is the later 'high top' type purchased from NOS locators )  the car retains its original drum front brakes with new working parts. The engine (correct 1500 in its proper MG maroon color) was recently rebuilt to high standard with upgrades. all internals balanced (including clutch). head ported and performance camshaft fitted. all ancillaries rebuilt. produces well above average power. runs cool and shows excellent oil pressure at all times. Transmission was not opened up. but operates smoothly with no unusual noises. 2 nd gear synchromesh is a little slow on the downshift (normal with these cars. most owners 'double de-clutch' for faster. downshift)  The car has a new fuel tank. . ew exhaust system. all hoses. inc all hydraulic flex hoses) fuel and brake hard lines and cables have been replaced or restored as required . the parking brake cable is also new.  in essence. all components that effect reliability have been replaced with new or rebuilt as and where needed ( far too many parts to fully list here) correct hard ware used where possible. Not shown in images are side curtains. nbsp;which are present. usable. and in the standard storage bag behind seats.  Spare wheel present. probably the original spoke wheel.  tread pattern on older spare tire does not match the almost unused matched set on the car. but is same size ( 165 x15)   I do not have much in the way of documented past history. just info given by previous owner. who purchased it locally. Ive probably missed quite a lot in description.   Clear title with the car on 'non op' status with California DMV . so no hidden fees for Ca buyers. Inspection welcomed and encouraged during duration of auction. Car is being sold to make room for next project. fair and reasonable reserve. (dont ask)  serious seller. The car is advertised elsewhere. so may be withdrawn IF sold without notice.  Terms of sale 'as is. where is' with no warranty expressed or implied.  a $500 deposit via paypal required within 24 hrs of auction end. balance to be paid via bank transfer or cashier check within 7 days of auction end (some flexibility on timing possible. can be discussed) willing to help your transporter with loading as required. pick up location highly accessible and within 2 mins of Hwy 80.  Serious bidders only please. bid only of you intend to complete. anyone with less than 10 positive transactions will have their bid canceled unless you communicate with me first .   I can be contacted by phone @ 530 913 4920. 8am - 7pm PCT.        thank you.
