Ford Escort XR3i must view needs new home

Firstly im into bikes. I took this little xr3i in part ex for i bike i sold back in 2009 . The guy who had the car bought a few months previous  from a retired army major who had the car from new. This little car  has a full documented service record from new  done at the same garage every year it has every mot and has every invoice for parts and servicing stapled together in an army folder It has never wanted for anything. I have never seen a more detailed service history. The car had 7 spoke rs alloys and plastic under arch covers fitted from new at extra cost and detailed in the invoice from new

It had 4 new parreli p600 tires on for the last mot as well as new powerflow stainless exhaust with lifetime guarantee at over £700 pounds since this the car has done 150 miles

It is in unbelievable original condition the paintwork is unbroken with no signs of the dreaded rust.  the spare wheel and tyre have never been fitted and still as new . It has never seen a welding torch sills. oors. ings. rches. trut tops and battery tray as good as the day it was bought new. Under the rear arches are solid with no rot or signs of rot anywhere on the car. The RS 7 spoke alloys are fantastic being only miner marks to 1 of them

The interior of the car is also like new with no rips stains or tair Genuine mileage of just 46. 00 and everything original and not messed with by boy racers in the past

The engine is very quiet with no knocks or bangs although i have had the car parked up in the garage for 4 years i have started it up on a regular basis and drove it up and don my drive. The engine has never failed to start apart from when i let the battery go flat

I really dont want to let this car go it is the none sunroof model which is very rare and it is also the none power steering model. Ive only ever seen 2 of this model on the internet

It is with a very heavy heart i am selling this car . I dont use it and need room for my other projects  it should be going to shows. I took the car to santa pod ford day in 2009 and it won pride of ownership award i never even entered it

You will be hard pushed to find a better example However if i cant get the asking price ill keep the car . If your a young boy racer please dont buy this car as i wont sell it to you. I could sell the car to a local guy but i know what will happen to it. IWould love the car to go to someone who will use it show it and keep the legend alive

Car has not been mot. for the last 3 years as its just sat in the garage however i cant see a problem putting a new mot on the car for the new owner

UPDATE just had a look at the service history with a guy who is interested in the car. It appears that the first 3 mot certificates are missing from the file. I can only assume the guy who had it and was in the Army was stationed aboad or i have lost them. I dont want to misslead anyone

UNEXPECTADLY BACK UP FOR SALE after buyer (classicjim41) hit the buy it now button last weekend only to ring me up today the 4-4-2013 to tel me he has no money to buy the car. Total waste of time this guy DO NOT DEAL WITH HIM The car now has 12 months mot as from yesterday the mot guy said its no problems and went through no problem IF you buy the car please make sure you have the funds to pay for it. I reqire a £200 deposit paid through paypal as soon as you click buy in now. Sorry to all the good ebayer out there but Timewasters and skint guys classicjim41 from the north east are a waste of time and should be struck off ebay. JUST TO ANSWER A FEW QUESTIONS

The mot inspector sait the car has never been welded. The spare wheel is not an rs alloy it is steel however it still has the origional perelli p6000 tire fitted brand new has never been on the car. The dash is not split or butcherd still has origional radio- cassett player. Car has abs and heated front screen guess extras when new.

Please no more silly offers you know as well as me what its worth.  This is the last time i will advertize the car for sale. im not desparate and dont need to sell the car
