I'm reluctantly selling my very nice '78 Volvo 242. due to a pending divorce.   This has been my daily driver for some time. and I will be sad to see her go.   She has been Lowered properly on ipd Springs. has Koni Adustable Shocks all around. GT Strut Plates. Stainless Brake Lines. ipd VX Cam; and an ipd Aluminum Skid Plate.   I had a custom Abarth style exhaust system fabricated in March 2013. a new Custom interior made. also in March.   She rides on 4 Vintage Enkie Wheels with tires that are about 70%.   Also. she comes with an Alpine CD with USB hookup.

In late April I drove her 390 miles up her on a very warm day. with no issues.   This Volvo does not run hot. does not burn. use. or leak any oil. and has no rust issues.   The floors are solid. the carpet is good. and the headliner has only one small tear above the driver.   New dash cap from ipd. and Clean Oregon Title in my name.

Original color was rusty brown. and I changed it last winter to 1972 Porsche Irish Green.   The engine compartment and trunk still retain the original finish.   This is a good paint job. but not show quality.   She gets waves and thumbs up wherever I go.

This is a very safe. reliable Volvo that I would not hesitate to drive anywhere.   Power Steering. but no Air Cond.   The only issues are when closing the sun roof you sometimes need to give it a helping nudge. and although all the guages. tach. and speedometer work properly. the odometer works on and off. and very slow. so the indicated mileage can not be relied on.   Drivers door card has a couple of tears. the windshield washer is disconnected. (bad wire). just needs lead replaced.   Also the two Hella Road Lamps. and the two behind the grill Driving Lights are not wired up. however the switch and wiring for the Hellas is in the spares box in the trunk.   For as old as she is she is just great!  Also new Timing Belt in May 2013.

If you are looking for a great old Volvo at a very fair. look around at what $4500 will buy). this is it.   Right now she is stored indoors at my brothers home. where we will be happy to keep her for a reasonable amount of time at no charge. so long as full payment has been recieved. until you can arrange transportation.   Also. have a few spares. and a whole folder of service and repair records from the previous owner.   She is currently senior owned.   Thanks for consideration
