1927 Marmon Model L Cabriolet Convertible for sale

Founded as a machinery company in 1851. Marmon offered their first car in 1902. The company was on the cutting edge of new technology in the early part of the century with air-cooled twin cylinder engines and all-aluminum cast bodies. With their outstanding engineering Marmons soon gained a reputation as a car for society's finest while offering better performance than all of the competition. In fact. the first running of the Indianapolis 500 was won by the Marmon Wasp driven by a young man named Ray Harroun. In a tribute to Marmon's cutting edge engineering. the Wasp finished the 500 mile race without breaking down. Marmon is also credited with inventing the rear view mirror. which would go on to become standard on all cars.
