Volkswagen Deluxe Microbus 1971

Hi. I have reluctantly for sale my 1971 Early Bay Window Deluxe Microbus. After searching for around three years for the right vehicle I came across this beauty for sale with a private seller in Capetown South Africa. She really is in fabulous condition and is almost rust free just two tiny little bubbles one of which wouldn't even photograph the other can be seen to left of engine lid in photos. The vehicle has never been welded and most certainly doesn't require any. The single port 1600 engine has been rebuilt and converted to unleaded and there are numerous receipts to show the work that has been carried out it has always been well maintained. Brand new discs. calipers and pads on the front and as new whitewall tyres all round. She has electronic ignition so starts on the button and drives sweetly with a short shift kit on the gearstick makes for better than average changes. Bodily just superb almost certainly all original panels with good door gaps and incredibly straight panels throughout. Sliding door gear has been completely refurbished and because it is a Microbus has a really cool factory fitted side step that extends out as side door is slid back to open position. Front door winding gear and all scrapers have been replaced as well as a new door glass in the drivers door. Contrasting blue vinyl seats are very good middle seat base section has a couple of minor snags in it the rest are perfect. Headlining has a tiny tear right at the back and a middle section slightly sags (I'm trying to be absolutely honest here!) Rear matting is the original in excellent condition the front is brand new from JK's. It has an original Blaupunkt radio neatly fitted in the dash there was power to it when I got her but haven't heard it through speakers. Generally this RHD Early Bay Tin Top Microbus is just superb you need to come and take a look and drive to really appreciate just how good she is.
