Chrysler Valiant VJ Ranger Wagon 245 3 Speed Hemi 6 NOT Charger Pacer VH VK CL in VIC

Up for auction is my 1973 VJ wagon.  

This is an inland car with known history. spent its entire 43 years in Central Victoria (St Arnaud where it was sold new. Dunolly. Maryborough & Maldon). I am the fourth owner. The body is in excellent condition with absolutely no rust whatsoever. it is straight and with good paint. The chassis rail has been repaired and sleeved professionally so that is now better than new. The car has been carported and driven very little in the three years I have owned it.  

Mechanically it is in good condition and is very drivable. it could be driven away to anywhere on a permit. It does need a little finessing to make it excellent though. Engine bay looks great. 245 hemi 6 and 3 speed manual floor shift with Speco shifter. Car is on dual fuel. runs great on gas but needs sorting better for petrol (needs fuel tank cleaning and reconditioning ideally. currently just running an extra fuel filter to try and clean up the crud in the petrol tank). A big lpg tank currently clogs up the rear luggage space of the car. a donut tank in the rear wheel well/ boot floor would sort that out and open up all the rear floor space.

I had intended on keeping this car but I need to move it along to help fund an upgrade of my work 4wd to one that fits the whole family and consolidate vehicles and projects somewhat. It is currently on club registration and is a good fair weather cruiser as it is now but is an excellent body for the new owner to turn into something special. Car is in very good original condition. Would benefit from a new exhaust sooner than later. Windscreen wipers need attention as well. they operate very slowly. I've had bucket seats in it and have just returned its original bench seat which is in okay condition with some tears to the vinyl. Seat would require an overhaul if this one was to be kept or just swap a better seat/ seats in. Generally the interior is good and clean.

If your after a latey wagon as a great basis to build a neat cruiser. a tough street car or just keep original then this is it. Very regretful sale. not interested in any swaps/trades sorry.
