This solid 1986 Chevy C10 Silverado pickup is ready to work or play. thanks to a 350 cubic inch V8. a ton of options. and a great color combination. Don't discount these trucks if you're looking for a great work machine. and what could be more practical as a hobbyist's toy than something that can haul the heavy stuff home on weekends?



Two tone colors always work well on pickup trucks. perhaps due to their ability to perform the dual roles of workhorse and advertising venue. Whatever this truck's history may have been. it remains very straight and clean. with no signs of body rot or accident damage thanks to spending its entire life in the warm. dry southern US. The high quality repaint is very close to the original colors. and the combination is a lot better than a lot of the choices you got in 1986. The panels are straight. fit and finish is quite good. and none of the usual scrapes and bruises are visible anywhere. which all suggest that someone really cared about this truck all its life. The long bed combined with a regular cab is handsome and well-proportioned. and the eight-foot bed with its freshly sprayed bedliner can haul anything you can throw at it. It also offers a heavy-duty diamond-plate rear bumper. bright stainless trim. and oversized side mirrors so towing a trailer is a drama-free event.



There's a beautiful blue cloth interior inside. inviting you to stay for a while. That's easy. thanks to this truck's extensive options list. which includes power windows and locks. A/C. and a sliding rear window. which make this truck easy to use every day. The handsome interior treatment extends to nicely preserved door panels and a beautiful dash that hasn't been cooked in the hot sun. There are plush carpets underfoot as well. making the interior feel luxurious and isolated. which is a far cry from the rubber mat you'll find in many trucks of the period. Original gauges keep an eye on the engine's vitals along with a tachometer tucked down low under the dash. and climbing behind the wheel will feel like coming home. since almost everyone owned one of these at some time or another. Finding one this nice isn't easy. and it's nice to see that this Silverado delivers on the promise of hard work with a luxurious interior.



History's most reliable and versatile engine lives under the hood. a 350 cubic inch Chevrolet V8. Showing just 72. 81 original miles. it's never been out of the truck and still runs superbly. The engine bay remains clean and well-maintained. with quite a few new components suggesting that someone cared about keeping it in top shape. Someone painted the valve covers Chevy Orange to dress things up a bit. but otherwise it's the same smooth. torquey machine you've come to appreciate. Long-tube headers and a set of performance mufflers give it a high-performance voice and the A/C has been converted to R134a refrigerant. Underneath. there's a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission which combines with dual gas tanks for remarkable cruising range on the open road. Extra-wide Rally wheels are a classic addition. and they wear fat Firestone radials for a sporty look.
