In parts alone. this 911 is worth well over 8K. Repaired it would be worth easily 15K or if completely restored 20k plus. and 911 prices are increasing rapidly now which makes my price very reasonable indeed. You could even part it out and make yourself a tidy profit. which is probably what I would do if I had the facilities and tools to do it. but I haven't.

I have owned this car for 15 years. spent a fortune on it. and it's been fantastic. but now it needs some welding on the underside and around the door shuts. or better still. a replacement body shell. and I am selling it because I can no longer afford the repairs and I am also embarking on a very different project.

No tax or MOT although car is perfectly driveable. so you could drive it away on trade plates. I think.

Basically this is a really good car mechanically with a good SC 3. 0 litre engine with no issues such as pulled head bolts. which are quite common on these cars. Fitted with the obligatory pop-off valve. and the fuel metering unit was rebuilt recently. The engine has only covered about 150000 miles which is nothing for these engines; they are often described as 'bullet proof'. I will even include a spare crank shaft. not that you will ever need it.

The clutch is also recent and is still low mileage. When you consider that this is only the second clutch the car has ever had (the original lasted for about 30 years) you will get an idea how much life there is left in this one. and my added mileage has been very low at around 2000 miles per annum

It is fitted with GENUINE. hand made in America SSi stainless steel heat exchangers which are fabulous. and a thousand times better than the cheap and nasty Dansk copies which are often sold as SSi. The engine sounds gorgeous with them and the twin outlet rear silencer.  

The 915 gearbox has been rebuilt and is fine.

The genuine Fuchs forged aluminium wheels are in good condition and were restored a few years ago.

Both front wings were replaced about 6 years ago with genuine. galvanised factory ones which cost over 600 GBP each. and the bonnet is fine.

The sills (inner and outer) were replaced on both sides about six years ago. again with genuine Porsche parts not the flimsy after market ones.
The engine cover is also good with some surface rust which is easily treatable. and is fitted with a genuine Porsche Turbo spoiler and rear wiper with motor.

The targa roof has been restored and is fitted with the Kaminari hand laid glass fibre roof panel (non folding) which is now available in this country at over 500GBP and I will include enough of the correct Porsche black vinyl to cover the roof if you want the original factory look. A new headliner was also fitted. A quick look on ebay and you will see that the standard targa roof (used) is currently fetching around 1K and they are no longer made by Porsche.

Both front seats were re-upholstered with black vinyl and the original Porsche black Pascha cloth some years ago. The passenger seat is perfect but the driver's seat needs re-doing.

Fitted with Bilstein shock absorbers. Clifford Concept 650 Mk 11 alarm (needs attention). aluminium floor panels including the pedal board.

The leather covered steering wheel ideally needs new re-covering. although it is still pretty good. and looks great with the Porsche crest on the horn push.

All of the instruments are working. even the clock. and the heater control box!

Brand new Bosch Silver battery fitted a few months ago and car almost unused since.

In short. this 911 has had a lot of time and money lavished on it and any parts replaced were replaced with Porsche factory parts. except for the Kaminari roof panel of course. and now it needs attention the the body work. plus a small job on the lighting circuit somewhere which will be simple I'm sure. and a little tidying inside. but not much! The headlights are fitted with standard H4 quartz iodine bulbs and there is also a pair of HIDs in there but I never finished getting them working properly. Again this should be fairly straightforward to sort out.

 I will also include a rather nice crested outdoor cover which is is good condition except for a couple of small holes. one of which has been repaired and hardly shows now.
