1972 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser still wearing mostly original paint. beautiful upholstery. and a reliable driver.    This is a great looking classic that's straight and solid. without the major rust issues so many of these older Cruisers have.   I was going to restore this. but there's no need. the color and patina is great. upholstery perfect. and a turn-key runner/driver.   Details below:

Very straight original body panels. mostly original medium green paint with older touch-ups. and a protective clear coat to seal the patina.   Solid body without any rust-through presenting.   Solid frame. unmodified suspension. and sound drive train featuring a 4. 1 liter inline Chevy 6-cylinder engine. original 3-speed manual transmission. and 2H 4H 4L transfer case.   4x4 is all in proper working order. including locking front hubs.   Good clutch. newer exhaust.    Good tires on wider steel rims with hubcaps and matching spare; a classic vintage look.   All glass is excellent except for a crack in the flat front windshield.   Windows roll up and down smoothly. all doors. tailgate. hatch. spare tire carrier. etc. function properly.   Missing passenger outside rear view mirror. otherwise complete.   Nice period aftermarket HD rear bumper with tow ball.   New brakes all around including expensive dual wheel cylinders at each corner. all drums. but about as good as drum brakes ever got for a 4x4.   Parking brake works.

The interior paint is all original and in great condition.   The upholstery is also in fantastic condition with NO rips or tears; just a pleasure to ride in.   Factory 3-across front seating with opposed jump seats in the rear.   All seats have their original and functional seat belts.   Original seat brackets allow both front seats to tilt forward.   Factory tool storage under driver's seat.   Very nice dash and gauges. odometer showing 62k miles.   Gauges in working order (auxiliary oil pressure and water temperature gauges). lights work (including brake lights). front and rear heaters work.   Added period roll bar is done right. looks like a factory option. The floors were just treated to a high-end Raptor bed liner coating.

I have never removed the top; I'm not sure if it's ever been off. Door fitment is very good. as is rear split tail gate doors and hatch.   Rear hatch mechanism is in proper working order. and the key locks and unlocks it.

Clear title in hand. matches VIN exactly for inspection. export. etc.   I can help coordinate affordable shipping. but the choice of carrier must ultimately be yours.

Please be prepared to remit payment within 3 days of auction's end via deposit into my Bank of America account. or bank-to-bank wire transfer.

While every effort is being made to describe this awesome FJ as accurately as possible. it is in fact a 44-year-old classic vehicle. and therefore being sold as-is. without warranty or guarantee expressed. written. or implied.

Please feel free to call me directly at 360-936-9257 with any questions you may have.   I must reserve the right to end the auction early. as I plan to advertise locally as well.   I am willing to end the auction for the right offer.
