1949 / 49 Mercury / Ford M-68 1-Ton Pickup Truck for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.15) based on 738 votes

Up for auction is a fully restored authentic Canadian built rare 1-ton Mercury (THIS IS NOT A CLONE FORD)pickup. This is an all metal restoration with numerous new old stock replacement parts & sheet metal (Original bench seat from a 51 F-3 Ford & a box from a 49  donor truck along with . NOS front & rear fenders).   I finished the restoration in November of 2011. and have not driven this truck other than on and off my call hauler. so you would be the first to cruise in it if you wish to do so. The entire frame (all new brake lines & hoses. NOS brake shoes & cylinders. master brake cylinder. King pins. Wheel bearings. Spring pins & bushings). motor (total complete rebuild). cab. hood. running boards. Owners Manual. rear-end (rebuilt with all new bearings & seals). Spare tire carriage & Canadian made truck jack.  4-speed manual transmission (rebuilt with NOS gear clusters & seals) and all stainless steel / chrome trim parts (re-chromed & polished) are all original to this truck.   This was a five year complete rotisserie restoration with nothing spared or left undone. I made the best effort to stay true to authenticity and details. but there have been some subtle modifications in order for this vehicle to be driven in the state for which it resides. as well as some small cosmetic changes that can be easily undone.   It would take numerous pages for me to list any and all parts that were used on this project. I do however have all of the receipts of parts and materials that were used to restore this truck. I have included as many pictures of my truck as was allowed for this listing. Hopefully this will assist those viewing this auction as to having a visual aid as to what was done. I believe as with many others. that pictures speak louder than words and can help would-be buyers with decision making about bidding more so than a description. I had to register & title this truck as a collector in WI. In order for me to be able to legally drive it.  I do however have the original Canadian registration for proof that it is a legitimate Canadian built Mercury pickup. My Merc will be sold as is with no expressed warranties and  buyer will need to make prior arrangements for shipping and or pickup.  Due to the starting bid. there is no reserve. and this truck will sell after the first bid has been placed.

“Yes the radio is a period correct tube type (was rebuilt with many NOS vacuum tubes & bench tested) and works as does the heater!!”

I WILL ACCEPT A WIRE TRANSFER

Please feel free to submit question before bidding.

Please disregard the "Due to the starting bid. there is no reserve. and this truck will sell after the first bid has been placed".   I forgot to remove this from a previous listing.
