1977 CORVETTE AUTOMATIC T-TOP.

INTERIOR.       The full interior is very good.   All carpets front & rear. door cards. seats. full dash. console & handbrake surround - all in really good driver condition. All in all an interior to be proud of. Both electric window work. Most. if not all the gauges seem to be working OK. Nearly new over-mats in place.

MECHANICS.   This is where this car really scores as it's had a fortune spent. The original number matching engine has been enhanced with a matching Edelbrock Performer Inlet fitted with a 600 Holley. and both are virtually new. In addition a new Edelbrock air cleaner and in-line filter have been fitted. plus all new service parts. all belts. dizzy parts. plugs. oils. filters etc. The original radiator has recently been re-cored at great expense and all the correct shrouding is still fitted. All the front steering has been overhauled with new joints etc plus new p/s parts. The complete brake system has been gone through. and I do mean gone through. new stainless calipers. all new pads. all new flexi hoses front & rear plus virtually every brake line on the car replaced. New park brake system even including cables etc.

EXTERIOR.      The paintwork to the headlights. nbsp;both full sides of the car including both doors. nbsp;all wing sides & the rear of the car    -   IS ALL GOOD!  

BUT THERE IS MICRO BLISTERING TO THE TOPS OF BOTH FRONT WINGS. TOPS ONLY. AS WELL AS A LITTLE TO THE BONNET AND THE ROOF PANEL AREAS.

The rally rims have decent trims & caps and are all shod with matching P225/70/15 BF Goodrich T/A's. rear about 6mm and both fronts brand new. All body gaps are very good and generally the body is as straight as they come. even the correct  '77 front bib is still in place. The emblems. door mirror. sills etc are all excellent.

This car is on the key. starts first time and runs very well. and it is number matching. The vin is clear to read on the block as well as the correct code GLA.  The box is smooth and a fortune has been spent underneath the car. The frame is excellent and very clean with none of the usual problems. in fact the frame looks to be one of the best I've seen.  There are a few weekend jobs to do. The headlights are slow to lift and although it's had recent actuators. a new relay is in the car waiting to be fitted. The chrome cover over the dizzy is not in place although it's in the car complete with it's mounting brackets. That really is the nature of the jobs. nothing much more that I can see.

The MOT ran out this week and due to the other small jobs as well as the paint. I'm selling the car as it is. However. please note that the car has only covered a silly 107 miles since it's last test 12 months ago. so I have no doubt re-testing should not be a problem.

The car has a folder of bills & old MOT's and the mileage currently showing on the car is just over 84. 00. hich I have no doubt is genuine. The last owner had the car for something like 17 years.

So I really think this is the ultimate opportunity for someone to get on to the C3 ladder.   Mint 77's are anything up to £15. 00 now. and they're still on the up.   This C3 should take very little to test  and the biggest let down has to be the front wing top micro blistering. But with a test and the paint done. this car will stand next to any in the £10. 00 to £12. 00 bracket. The mechanics are excellent. the interior is superb and overall the car has had a fortune recently spent on it. Don't get me wrong. mot done and this car will make a superb daily driver as it is. but If you want to stand it in a show you'd have to do some paint.

This car should do way. way. way more than the starting price. If it made around the £8000 mark it will still be a cheap C3 finished. but be sure of one thing. the car is definitely on sale from £5750.
