This is a 1972 Chevrolet Nova pro street car owned by a buddy who asked me to list it because of a serious health issue he can no longer drive. When  he bought it the car had a supercharged 383 with nitrous. He replaced that engine in October 2007 with the Scott Shafiroff Ultra Street 540. The paperwork  and dyno papers are pictured below. This car was painted Sikkens British Racing Green in 1998. The car was pro built - 3-link rear with coil overs. frame  connectors. 14 roll point cage (installed by a pro shop in Ohio). NHRA approved driveshaft loop. Wilwood rotors and calipers all around. Strange axles in  the narrowed Dana 60 and more. Body and paint are excellent. accented by sharp trim and chrome. Just get in the car and drive it - it has a factory shifter and  the transmission is not a reverse valve body - put it in drive and it shifts itself. Car is easy to drive. goes perfectly straight down the road and the 3-inch  stainless exhaust system sounds awesome. You can get in. turn on the electric fuel pump. hit and key and drive off. The car is ready to enjoy. Email any  question and you can get the owner's number to set up a time to see the Nova.

This car is a real beauty. Sharp and fast. it's ready to enjoy.

Nova has Wilwood calipers and rotors on all fours. Rear tires are 31 inches tall and 16. 5 inches wide. The Mickey Thompson tires have plenty of room.

Glass is original with no chips or damage. M/T wheels

Black vinyl top and dark green paint are very sharp.

Nice grill with SS emblem - cowl hood is steel and hinged just like the original.

Trunk trim also has an SS emblem. Note the handle just to the right of the 72 in the license plate - cut off switch.

The interior is black with 1972 bucket seats. console and floor shifter. 14-point cage was a professional installation. Wheel is tilt.

All gauges are AutoMeter and all work including the fuel gauge for the cell. There is no speedometer. Owner estimates 300 miles on the engine since it  was installed in October 2007.

Both seats have racing type harnesses. Interior has carpet. headliner. dash pad. Both seats are adjustable.

It's a great fun driver.

Original console and a fire extinguisher

Back seat area is carpeted

Strong cage

Harnesses are attached to the cage

It had nitrous when the small block was in the car. Now it is all motor. Gas gauge works.

Nice everywhere

Weatherstripping is in excellent shape

Arm rests are gone due to cage but has custom Nova SS trim pieces

The engine is a 540. Photos of the paperwork and dyno sheet are below. It has all the good stuff.

Engine fires right up and runs excellent.

Owner estimates engine has about 300 miles since new. Transmission is a Turbo 400 with 2800 stall converter. It was built by a local mechanic the  owner has known for years.

Master controls the four wheel disc brakes. Original steering gear box.

Hooker headers - front end was rebuilt with urethane bushings - aluminum Dart heads

Meziere 55 gpm water pump and dual electric fans on the thick aluminum radiator keep engine cool. It has never gone over 190 degrees even in hot  weather.

Note aluminum overflow tank - all lines are braided stainless with AN fittings

Shafiroff valve covers

1050 Dominator carburetor - firewall has been smoothed

Underside of hood - air cleaner is off set so it fits perfectly into the opening for the steel cowl hood - note the hinges were drilled - I think they look great  drilled

Trunk opens and shuts easily

Underside of trunk lid

It has a 16-gallon fuel cell and a big box for the big battery. Chevrolet is in script in bright green

Driver side of the trunk

All braided lines with AN fittings

540 Ultra Street

Owner has bought several engines from Shafiroff and has been happy with all of them

VIN on dash matches VIN on title: 1X27H2W264380

Clear title

The car was put on a jack to get some underside shots - this is the Dana 60. It had 4:88 gears with a spool but the owner replaced it with Richmond 4:11  gears and a posi unit. The 4:88 gears will go to the new owner.

That's a big tough rear and it has Strange axles

Coil overs

It has a three link setup - driveshaft loop covers entire driveshaft top and bottom

3-inch stainless exhaust

Three link is adjustable

Braided stainless fuel and return lines - car has frame connectors - it drives straight as an arrow

Chrome and trim look great

Straight body with glossy paint

Vinyl top and trim

Driver rear quarter

31X16. 5X15 Mickey Thompson tires

Trunk and trim

Trunk lid

Passenger rear quarter

Strange axles and 5/8 wheel studs

Everything works on the car except the wipers because it doesn't have any - the owner has a Detroit Speed wiper motor set that cost $380 new and it  will go to the new owner along with original wiper arms and new blades

Steel cowl hood - note reflections - paint is glossy and smooth

M/T wheels
