1978 Peugeot 404 Pickup – Diesel
Left hand drive – Portuguese import
Full Mot.
Number plate VOX 97S
This is a traditional very solid Pickup truck. used and with patina.
It has recently undergone an engine rebuild. in excess of £2K. and new diesel pump £600. a new higher amp alternator £100. rebuilt starter motor. The engine is still being run in and drives and sounds like a traditional diesel.
It is currently welcome for any inspection. it is column change. and bench seat. first gear is temperamental. and after double declutch goes in. second pulls hard and third and fourth gears work well. along with reverse.
The paint work is as sound and traditional. but could easily be brought to a high quality with minimum effort. at present there are crazes in the paint. slight cracks and surface rust. from where it has been used.
The interior is basic and has no mats or carpets. door cards are there in black. speedo cable needs to be attached. the bench seat is in good condition. as is the headlining. and internal sun visors.
The dash board is traditional. with original dials and gauges. extra switches are in place for fog light.
This is a very solid traditional used rare pickup truck with full Mot.
It will come with an external sun visor. a pair of brand new traditional steel headlight surrounds. a spare wheel rim. additional steering wheel. (with non-semicircle horn. ) a new set of silver and black number plates. and manual. Black carpet for the cab is also available if required.
