Beige leather seats are excellent and feature power adjustment and heating - perfect for top down driving in crisp weather. The console and dash top and door caps are trimmed in darker taupe material for a pleasing contrast. Maple wood trim on the doors and console is in excellent condition with no cracks or discoloration.

The beauty of the R230 chassis Mercedes SL was of course the super-slick retractable hard top. With the top up. this SL is an extremely capable grand touring car; ready for a cross country road trip and able to handle twisty roads with aplomb. In a matter of seconds. the top folds and the car is transformed into a classic roadster. with the fantastic exhaust note from the M117 V8 engine filling the cabin and plenty of comfort thanks to heated seats and a folding wind deflector. The 7-speed automatic transmission is virtually seamless. and allows for manual control with slightly firmer shifts when sport mode is selected.

This example is free of rattles. squeaks or any other annoyances. It feels excellent on the road and remains tight. thanks to the low miles and proper care. The body is exceptionally straight with no dings or dents to speak of and only a few very minor stone chips on the front bumper. Our team has inspected the car and found it to be in excellent order. and we have performed an oil service using correct Mobil 1 lubricant.
