This example of the much sought after Triumph TR4 is in superb condition both mechanically and bodywork

Professionally fitted with the Classic Fuel Injection system to improve the drivability. engine power and reliability
whilst retaining the " Classic Car " look.



Description


Driving
Everything works as it should with no smoke. rattles. noises etc.   No known faults or areas likely to need attention


Engine
The engine for this TR4 is in good condition. no smoke or rattles ( believed to have been rebuilt over last few years
Starts and runs perfectly. pulls nicely

Small oil leak from front timing chain cover ( common on these ) -- NOW FIXED
( fitted new crank pulley seal and new timing cover gasket )

New radiator fitted as the original had a small leak around the extended filler neck.
(Replaced with non extended neck version so should never have this common problem again )

Dynamo has been replaced with a Dynamator  ( basically a modern alternator in the authentic dynamo casing to retain the original look )

Original throttle rod linkage has been replaced with updated cable system to give more reliable operation and more responsive feel

This car has been professionally updated with the Classic Fuel Injection System.

Automatic Cold Start Control ( no need to mess around with the choke )
Automatic Idle Speed Control
Fully ECU control of Fuel system

Improved starting. drivability. performance and fuel economy.

Although it has been converted it has been done so in such a way so as to retain the " Classic Car " look with out making the conversion non reversible

This car either came from a very dry area or a previous owner spent thousands having it professionally rebuilt.
Small parking ding on the front left wing.
Could be fairly easily pushed out or left as it is.  


Paintwork
Very good condition all round.
There are a couple of small scratches and marks but nothing to give any concern.
It really is as good as it looks in the photos


Hood and Hood Frame
Original frame with fairly new hood.
No splits or tears.
Rear window in perfect condition and not yellowed


Tonneau Cover
Again a fairly new item with no damage or tears


Mileage
I am not sure how many miles this car has covered.
The instruments suggest around 52. 00 miles.

I cannot prove but i suspect this car has not covered many miles at all since it underwent a complete professional rebuild with a previous owner.


Overall Description
This Triumph TR4 is as good as it looks with no known areas of concern.
No corrosion anywhere.
Everything works as it should and it drives beautifully
Ideal for both the long term owner and enthusiast or somebody looking for an investment.
At some point in the recent past this car appears to have been the subject of a professional rebuild and refurbishment likely to have cost thousands.
It is just in too good of a condition to be anything else.

Being 1963 it benefits from free Historic Car Tax
Current MOT until 26 April 2017
Car is UK registered and V5 is present and in my name
Most drivers will be able to insure this on a classic policy for around £150 per year


My History with the Car
Purchased from the USA and imported last winter from the Maryland area.
Looking through the history file we have 7 pages of invoices detailing work and parts carried out in 2013 and 2014
These total around 8. 00 USD and itemise all parts and jobs carried out
Car was in pretty much the condition it is now
Carried out a few small jobs and had the Classic Fuel Injection System fitted.
Fitted the Dynamator
Fitted the improved cable throttle system.


Reason For Sale
Basically running out of space.  
I have too many cars and projects and not enough time and storage.
This is my own car and as such is a private sale and is not connected with my business.

When you see the car you will understand that the condition easily justifies the price.
