There were only 12 of these Bugazzis made and this was the 1st one. Only 3 are known to exist.
In 1972 the cost of a new Mark 4 was $9. 00 a bas Rolls Royce was $19. 00 The Pre Sold Bugazzi cost $30. 00.
The reason why it cost so much was that the creator of this masterpiece of 1970s excess and opulence. was Mr Barris who was at his peak demand from the rich and famous all over the world. who would comission a specific type of product. What sets this apart is that this creation is directly from his creative mind. and not as requested by a customer.
A Picasso painting is worth millions. but not because of the cost of the paint pigment and canvas but because of WHO created the painting. Like wise a George Barris vehicle has to be viewed in such a manner. regardless if you are not a lover of the exotic excess of his creations such as the Batmobile. Munster Car. Dragula. Monkey mobile. etc a true collector and aficionado of automobilia will appreciate that the value of this classic will continue to rise. With the recent passing of Mr Barris collectors are even more keen to own a true Barris Kustom.
This particular Bugazzi is all over the internet and if you google Bugazzi there are hundreds of pages on this masterpiece. The exhaustive supporting documentation as pictured including a signed dash plaque and a picture of the Bugazzi signed by Mr Barris. is included in the sale.
I have owned this for 18 months and have enjoyed it thoroughly it needs NOTHING that I know of. 45k miles are original. The only thing that I did was upgrade the Cartier clock to a Quartz movement for accuracy and low voltage usage. TV and 8 track player are fine. The engine is strong and purrs like a kitten the 5 true knock off wheels and Coker tires are mint Rides like a Lincoln.
I am only selling this car because I have pressing project and need the space.
I have a clear TN title in my name and will gladly help coordinate with your shipper. obviously the car does not leave my possession until funds have cleared my bank. this includes cashiers checks etc. Please don't play games or waste my time I have heard it all before.
