1967 VOLVO 1800S.such a straight car sleeping dry since 1980. JACK ROSE.supplied

It is with a heavy heart that I am advertising my Volvo 1800S. owned by myself for the last 4 years. A superbly original Volvo. the history is underneath. I just know what started off with great enthusiasm has sadly been put on the back burner as life and a busy farming workload has left me with no time to give this rare beauty the love and attention she rightly deserves.
I owned a red one of these 10 years ago. She was up and running and road legal. but it had been poorly restored with terrible shut lines on the doors. Full of filler and bodged repairs in places so I decided to sell this and promise myself if I ever bought one again it would be one that has never been got at and poorly restored. that it would be so original. that the doors would shut with as good a shut as when it was new. that the sills would be straight. and the inner wheel arches inside the boot would not be rotten.
So 4 years ago. I found this one. MUF 423F. It had been dry stored for years. since 1980/81. It came from the estate of a garage owner who used to take in cars in part exchange for the new ones he was selling. Anything interesting. he would buy for himself and simply store them away in lock ups. When I saw it. I just admired how original this Volvo is. Door shuts superb. Beautiful original interior all in tact with no rips on any of the seats front and rear. Headlining superb. All the original interior dials present and correct. Original carpets in excellent condition. Boot area superbly dry and rot free on the inner arches. All this you can see in my pictures.
I bought it without any history or paperwork as this could not be found. So I thought. But on checking the discreet interior pockets located on the sides of the footwells. I found some interesting old paperwork. I found servicing paperwork from 1975 every year until 1980. It was always serviced by ROSE HILL GARAGE. the supplying dealer. every year. I have service mileages from 58. 00 miles until 95. 00 miles. Shortly after this I think it was taken off the road. It was registered as AA 121 at the time. and only had one owner in this period Mrs. A. Abbott.  
The engine had seized from its long slumber. So a rotten 1800S with a good engine was bought and the engine taken out of this ready to go into MUF. Seized engine taken out of MUF and then car taken to a professional bodyshop to have the engine bay detailed. A superb job was made as again you can see. And that was as far as I got!!
This car is so straight. with only surface rust as my pictures show. It really deserves a concourse rebuild. Find another 1800S this straight that hasn't been bodged. These Volvos are beautiful cars. hard to find anymore and prices strong and rising. This is the only one on eBay at time of listing.
I have shown all the parts with the car that came off it. There may be a few bits missing as it was 4 years ago when started! At the moment I can't find the blooming bumpers!!!! I will update listing if found. but these can be bought new and shiney!! Mine did need rechroming.
4 speed gearbox with overdrive fitted. All electrics did work and the overdrive was clicking well before the engine was removed. Brakes are free. and handbrake still working.
I do not have a V5 as I was going to do this once finished. Easy to apply for. Full receipt will be given stating this Volvo is mine. Please I have over 500 positive feedback scores. so I am 100% genuine and trustworthy!
