I am selling this Austin Seven. first registered 19th October 1937.  It is correctly registered with the DVLA and I have the modern V5 (log Book) in my own name.
It has an interesting history which is known from 1961 when it was sold for £25!  That owner used it for a while before it was dismantled and all the parts placed into the house Loft!!  The original body was placed under a tarpaulin and it was all left in situ until the owner died in 2004.
At this point it was removed from the loft and the body was uncovered.  It was all bought by  another Village resident who knew of  it.  He went to collect it and had the good sense to start photographing stuff.  The body was absolutely shot and beyond repair.  (there are photos of it as found. )  All the parts in the loft were then fully refurbished / rebuilt and there are plenty of photos to support the work undertaken including a rebuild to the engine etc.
Due to the state of the body. the new owner decided to spend £2500 on an A7 RTC Body in aluminium from Roach Manufacturing near Romsey.  This was bought in June 2006 and was attached to all the orginal running gear. engine and gearbox etc.
Once the car was completed. the owner contacted DVLA and was able to retain the original registration. chassis number etc.  At this time. in 2010. the car was MOT'd to allow this process to occur.   At this point it did about ten miles before being put into careful storage.
The reg is Non-transferable (Good) so the original reg has to stay with the vehicle.
The car came into my possession and I have enjoyed a light recommissioning and sounding the horn!!
Anyway. the car;
The Chassis is in mint condition and looks good in all areas.
The axles are the original and again were over hauled by the previous owner and are in good condition.
The engine and gearbox are very good with all gears selecting correctly and not jumping out of gear.  The engine ticks over like a gentle little clock and sounds sweet.
The Gauges on the dash are the originals.
The choke pull  is a plastic modern and looks a bit naff on the  dash.
Everything works as it should.  It starts. runs. drives and stops as it should.
The seats are the original seats and whilst looking all of the 79yrs they are really comfy!
The body is obviously alloy so no issues here with corrosion.
Basically. this is a nicely sorted little Austin Seven with all original running gear. seats. dials. gearbox and engine.  The body being the sort you see on Hill Climb type vehicles.  There is a box file of Photos and Paperwork with it as well.
I am a garage owner and selling this through my business account. however. this is my own personally owned car.
Viewing is welcomed and actively encouraged.
A Paypal deposit to hold. but balance needs to be a bank transfer or cash payment - NO Paypal as this is not owned by my business.
Any questions please ask.
