She's an (early) 1974 MGB Roadster original chrome bumper model in Good condition. She has her original 4 speed transmission and engine. She shifts smoothly and her original 1. 8 Liter runs great. she has great oil pressure with no leaks. lots of throttle and no run-on when engine is switched off. She has strong brakes with a new master cylinder. and all new clutch parts. She has been completely rewired with all new factory wiring harnesses by local MG shop. At night everything is bright. She has a new alternator. battery and 8' battery cable. All gauges have been calibrated by local MG shop and work well. She has no front end play and all her bushing are in good condition. She corners great with good springs and suspension. She had all her shocks converted to modern tube type for easy replacement and better perfomance. Her wire wheels are rebuilt and in great shape with new silver (Emeron) paint. Her twin Pro built and polished SU carburetors idle smooth at 750 rpm. Her Ansa exhaust purrs at idle and roars when opened up. She also has great vibrations in the seats when you rev her up. Her interior is nice to sit in and look at. very clean and mostly original with new carpet and fitted floor mats. She has a new convertible top and a new tonneau cover to match. She had new paint in 2014 in original British teal blue. She has a new windshield and her windshield frame is in great shape. All lighting works. including courtesy light. backup lights. trunk light. you name it. New Kenwood stereo and speakers with remote. sounds good and loud. She fires right up from cold. runs out smooth through all gears and revs all the way up to highway speed with no problems. She can do 95-100 and She can run 85 strong on the turnpike all day long. no problem. She never gets hot and does not run-on when ignition is turned off. Her body is straight with new floor pans and carpet. She sits perfectly level front to back and side to side. I have set her reserve at less than what shes worth and She has clean papers included with over $20. 00 in receipts for parts bought are included. She has been recently painted (2014) in original teal blue. 2-stage. base coat/clear coat. Her wire wheels have been restored. She had her gas tank replaced with new fuel pump. Her shocks have been replaced with $1. 00 Moss Spax conversion kits allowing for modern tube type shocks. The local MG shop removed all her emission controls and rewired the entire car with all new factory wiring harnesses. The shop also went through her instruments and calibrated them. At the advise of the shop She has had all of her emissions removed and is producing maximum HP for Her stock 1. 8 liter engine. Her motor was checked out and one way to tell if a motor is tired is by the oil pressure which will rise and drop dramatically when revving up and down.  A motor with little wear will have a strong and stable oil pressure reading at all rpms. which She does. Her instruments including her speedometer work well. I replaced her 8 foot long battery cable myself with an Interstate custom cable with welded ends to match the original and installed all new stainless body moldings and thresholds. She has been converted to a single 12v battery and she came from the factory with a negative ground. not a positive ground like the 60's models. All the electrical trim such as headlamps. side markers etc have been removed and all the rubber seals and plinths replaced. She has new stainless thresholds and door seals. She has a new windshield. I installed pro built SU carburators along with K&N filters. The front end has been inspected and was found to be tight. There is zero play in the steering. She handles great. In fact she starts right up. idles steady at 750 rpm. runs out fast and shifts smooth. Running at night the windshield is perfectly clear and the lights are all bright like she was new in 74. She is an early 74 in her original antique chrome which is not perfect and her engine bay could use some tiding up but She looks great and gets plenty of compliments. She is garaged here in Tulsa and waiting for her new home. I believe she is road worthy for even an interstate trip but that would be up to you. She is a Lady in her British Teal Blue and Her fancy wire wheels but She will take you for the ride of your life when you treat her right.
Note: Please don't be fooled by a (late) 1974-1980 MG with shiny new bumpers. hiding the fact that they were a rubber bumper model that have been converted. When MG went to rubber bumpers in (late) 1974 they raised the rear end up for US safety standards causing those cars to loose their handling capabilities and they suffer from lack of horse power from all the extra emission controls. Not to mention their extra weight. die stamped wheels and the lower quality steel used in the frame and body panels to cut costs. Buyer beware!
