SELLER REMARKS

There are not many cars that can compete with a Ford Mustang convertible for appealing to the general public. EVERYONE loves a vintage Mustang. and this 1973 Mustang convertible has a lot to offer: V8 power. lots of options. and a great look that will always have a long list of admirers.

The '73 Mustang was the end of an era. and while these ponies aren't as popular as the earlier models. if you want a vintage Mustang with a top that goes down. it's still an A-list ride. The medium blue paint is a rather unusual choice. but looks great on the long hood and rounded quarter panels. This car was painted in 2010. and thanks to a lifetime in a warm. dry climate. shows no issues in any of the usual spots. The doors fit well and close easily. which means it's solid underneath and we dig the Mach I style stripes which were just installed recently and really make a difference in the car's look. Paint is quite good. with a great shine. and even the urethane front bumper is in excellent condition with no cracks or major damage. The grille. rear bumper chrome. and big taillights are also in excellent condition. suggesting a car that has always been loved. This blue ragtop looks every bit as good in person as it does in photos. and there's nothing scary hiding in the corners.

The interior is mostly original and here you can see just how well-maintained this car really is. The handsome high-back buckets are in great shape with only minor wear on the driver's outer bolster and the navy blue carpets are so dark that they look like they've never seen the afternoon sun. There's also a center console with a clock and the shifter for the C4 3-speed automatic gearbox. and factory A/C is a somewhat rare option on a convertible. The gauges are excellent. with clear lenses and bright markings. although this pony doesn't get more than the basics: speed and fuel level. The original AM/FM radio has been replaced by a later AM/FM/cassette/MP3 unit designed with Mustangs in mind. as was the new woodgrained steering wheel (all the original parts are included with the car). Overhead. a white convertible top with a glass rear window retracts with a touch of a button. and stashes under a blue boot. while the trunk offers a correct mat and spare tire with cover.

The engine bay is just as clean as the rest of the car. with the original 302 wearing a racy finned dress-up kit. It's nestled deep in there under the A/C compressor. so there's not a lot to show off. but it's fully functional. ultra-clean and ready to rock. Upgrades include an Edelbrock intake and Holley 600 CFM 4-barrel carb. a new distributor and coil. and a set of Hedman headers that feed a brand new Flowmaster exhaust system. Underneath. the C4 3-speed automatic shifts well and is supported by new shocks. fresh brakes. and a rebuilt steering box. so it rides and handles almost like new. The underside isn't restored but it's in excellent shape. indicative of a life lived in a warm climate and ideal for your next hobby car. Old-school polished aluminum wheels give it a sporty look and carry new 215/70/14 Firestone Firehawk radials all around.

Mustangs this clean just don't sit around. so if you like the styling. you'll love everything else. A solid ragtop with no stories. don't wait on this one. it definitely won't last. Call now!
