It was built for auto racing. specifically to take on Ferrari and its 250 GTO in the GT class. The Shelby Daytona Coupes. in their first year of competition. finished second (by 6 points) in GT III class for the 1964 World Sportscar Championship season. The Shelby Daytona Coupes won the GT III class (by 19 points) for the 1965 World Sportscar Championship season. This one definitely fits the bill to its fire breathing big brothers. Now. normally if this was the real deal it would be powered by a 289 ci V 8. but you would also spend over a million to obtain. While this engine doesn't hold that displacement. it is definitely a contender on the race track.

the same heart as the 2003-2004 Terminator SVT Cobras. a supercharged 4. 6 L DOHC 32 V V 8 this puppy cranks out 525 wheel horsepower and just weighing in a tick over 2000 lbs this is the ultimate road race machine. Backing the mean modular motor is a Tremec T 56 6 speed transmission so. you can drive to the track and still retain that 18 miles per gallon. Vintage AC keeps the cabin cold on long trips and the two piece forged CCW wheels give the extra aggressive look to the car. An A 1000 super car fuel pump keeps all the fuel flowing and the rear of the car is built around the fuel system and battery box. Simpson full containment leather wrapped seats keep you comfy in the cockpit and 5 point racing harness keep you locked in. The suspension if fully adjustable including front and rear control arms and the car can withstand a larger tire and wheel if wanted. This is the only replica known to not have side exhaust and instead right out the back and boy does she have an attitude. The gauge cluster and steering column are from a 2004 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra and the whole dash is leather wrapped to match the seat pattern. This is one of the best built tributes you are going to find and its presence is just massive even though the car is small.
