 This Pantera is an original Rosso Red late-1974 L model purchased by the consignor from its second owner in Beverly Hills in 2000. After selling it to a friend. the consignor bought it back 14 years later. He immediately set about making it the Pantera that Ford should have been selling in 1974; a car true to DeTomaso's original design in appearance and upgraded mechanically to offer the performance it should. As such. original Pre-L Pantera bumpers have been fitted; the car has been lowered to European ride height; had a bullet-proof cooling system featuring a custom radiator and custom high-capacity cooling fans fitted; the original 351 Cleveland V-8 engine has been topped with an Edelbrock Performer intake and carburetor. Hall Pantera headers. a re-curved distributor. and carefully dyno tuned; sticky Avon CR6ZZ Z Rated tires have been fitted to refinished DeTomaso magnesium wheels; the steering rack and complete suspension rebuilt. corner weighted and aligned to custom specifications; the braking system has been completely rebuilt and properly setup; and many other little tweaks have been performed. The car itself is a rust-free original car with its original interior. and was treated to a bare-metal repaint to show standards in its original code-V. 108 Rosso color. Both trunks have been relined with new. correct felt. and the original spare and all tools are present. as is the original owner's manual. an owner history and other paperwork. The original parts that were removed are also included with the sale. This magnificent Pantera offers all of the benefits of a very late-production L Model car (including the much-improved dashboard) with the trim appearance of an early Pre-L car.
