You are bidding on a one of a kind 1965 Mustang Fastback "Paladin" that was pro built by some of the best Hot Rod builders in Canada.  Completed in 2006. this Mustang was featured on the cover of both Mustang and Fords and Street Thunder magazines. and has won numerous car show awards.   Everyone loves the look of a classic mustang. but in stock form they are disappointing to drive compared to modern cars. My goal from the start was to build a mustang that retained all the classic styling. but accelerates. brakes. and handles like a modern performance car. This mustang started life as a six cylinder fastback from Connecticut before undergoing a meticulous four year restoration. with dozens of improvements along the way. This car incorporates some incredible engineering to deliver excellent drivability. reliability. and driving excitement all in one package.  

 

            The paint and body work on this car cost nearly $30. 00 alone. and as expected it is absolutely stunning. The Sikkens Midnight Black is an unforgiving color and it is smooth. straight. and free of any blemishes. The stance on this mustang is perfect. courtesy of the suspension combination that has produced a much better distribution of the 3208 lb. curb weight (52/48) for remarkably good handling on the street and the track.   It soaks up bumps without beating up the driver. and yet has very little body roll in the corners.  The Baer brakes are fantastic and will haul the car down from triple digit speeds repeatedly without drama or fade.   The fuel injected. supercharged Ford Racing 302 starts instantly. idles smoothly. and  runs cool courtesy of a massive radiator and twin electric fans.  The torque curve is very flat and provides strong acceleration in every gear.  This car is very controllable and provides a thrilling driving experience few cars can match. Interior creature comforts were not forgotten. and the quality of materials is very high end.  Wilton wool carpets. leather. ultra-suede. and real aluminum greet the eye; while ice cold a/c. 840 watt 6 speaker stereo. and power windows. make even long trips enjoyable.

 

 This Mustang is ready for show. street. or the track and turns heads wherever it goes like nothing else on the road.  It would easily cost double the reserve price. and more than two years to build a car of this magnitude. Not to mention all the de-bugging. tuning. changes. swaps. and head-aches etc. that are inevitably required when completely modifying a classic car.   All of this trial and error has already been done and a one of a kind turn key package awaits the winning bidder.

 

Body and Paint:   Shelby hood and side scoops. TCP frame connectors. modified rear valance. smoothed firewall. hidden wiper motor. custom inner fenders. rad support widened and custom cable actuated hood latch. rolled fender lips. boxed struts. frame rails. door and trunk jams smoothed. Mercedes undercoating in wheel wells. and lizard skin sound deadener sprayed in interior. Sikkens Midnight black and Mazda RX-8 titanium metallic paint. Wet sanded. polished and buffed.

Engine: FRPP 302 GT-40 X crate motor. 9:1 comp. B303 cam. crane 1. 6 roller rockers. cometic head gaskets and arp head studs.   Vortech V2 supercharger. smoothed and airbrushed TFS intake. MSD ignition. Custom Be Cool Rad with adjustable twin electric fans. March serpentine pulleys. hidden wiring. BBK headers and full ceramic coated exhaust. 16 gallon fuel cell. walbro electric pump. 42 lb. injectors. custom Sct chip and dyno tuned. 445 RWHP and 422 lb. ft. @ 5. 00 RPM at 10 psi boost on 93 Octane.

Trans: Tremec TKO 5 Spd. Centerforce dual friction clutch. lakewood scattershield. self adjusting cable clutch. pro 5. 0 shifter.

Front Suspension:  R&C motorsports Mustang II rack and pinion steering with tubular A- Arms. 2 inch drop spindles. and Aldan eagle adjustable coil-over shocks.
Rear Suspension:  CTM Engineering T-5 IRS prototype based on the original Ford blueprints!  Adjustable pro-shock coil-overs with progressive springs. Dana 44 rear. Auburn posi. 3. 55:1 gears.   This is an ultra-rare piece of Ford R&D history and it works beautifully on this car.

Brakes:  Baer Eradispeed Rotors 13" slotted front and 12" rear with PBR calipers. Mustang Steve power booster. and Wilwood billet master cylinder.

Wheels:  Budnik Arrow 17x7 front and 18x9 rear
Tires:   Dunlop Direzza Star Spec Zl1 215/45/17 front and 265/35/18 rear

Interior: Modified dash and custom all steel console. Flaming river tilt column and Momo steering wheel.   Billet Gauge cluster with Autometer carbon fiber gauges.   Vintage Air a/c. power windows. all billet hardware  (a/c vents and controls. door handles. window switches).   JVC arsenal cd player. with ipod connectivity. Soundstream 840 watt amp. 6 clarion speakers .   Custom Wilton wool carpet. leather and ultra-suede seats. molded ultra-suede headliner. custom door and sail panels.   Street rod style carpeted trunk with Amp board and hidden battery

Miscellaneous:  Also comes with a Snow's methanol injection system (installed. but not activated). Tweecer EEC IV engine management programmer. custom fitted black car cover. 4 point harnesses for front seats.
