1965 Vw Beetle UK RHD DeLuxe Sedan with optional Golde Sunroof OG paint 1200cc

It's hard to describe the joy you get to find a Vw Beetle that is un-messed with and exactly how they used to be when they left the factory. The way the doors shut with a gentle push. the click of the gear-change. the surprise at how excellent the brakes are……

The car isn't perfect but the fact that some back street under the arches Vw bodger hasn't given it some God awful restoration is a miracle in itself. What you see is exactly what you get. It isn't welded to the floor pan with weld over weld or slammed to the floor with a front beam that makes it look broken!!. Although I'm sure you're reading this thinking “that's what I want to do” If you buy it then it's your car and fair enough but what a great starting point for any Vw owner.

It starts first time. ticks over. goes down the road (a little like driving Miss Daisy) slowly. the lights work. the horn works!!. Most importantly the uber rare Golde steel sliding sunroof works.

Any inspection or test drive is welcome. We can put the car on the lift for you for a worm's eye view. The car belongs to a customer and I'm seriously thinking about it for myself. I took it home last night and had people waving at me and smiling. seriously when was the last time you saw a standard Vw Beetle just on the road going about its business?? The customer drove it to us around the M25 and I would hop in and go anywhere in it…. P. R. Services Porsche 356 specialist have looked after the car for its later years (that's me)…. Things I would change = not much …the head-liner is a bit manky. the indicator stalk has been repaired. the rear wings have had a refinish on the car and the bead has over-spray…In fact it's nice that things have been repaired rather than thrown in the bin and crappy repro parts fitted. most Beetles these days are more made in Taiwan than Germany (or even Belgium in this case!). It has had paint here and there but not a full repaint. so some of the original paint remains

There is a modern history file. It is fitted with Avon CR6zz tyres which cost over £200 each!!. This is due to the two previous owners who both run Porsche 356's. so no expense was spared. The invoices add up to over £9. 85. 03. a Heroic figure and why the car drives so well. There is also Certificate from the Vw Museum confirming the car was delivered to England and that it is a DeLuxe Sedan with sunroof in Fontana Grey with Red interior. Also included is an original Instruction manual and a copy of the Dandy from Feb 17th 1979 which was found under the rear parcel shelf.

To add to the cars usability rear seat belts have been fitted for any children or just general safety. We added these are the previous owner's wife used to do the school run in the car.

As I mentioned before. any inspection is welcome and we really encourage this. What I think is ok with the car may not be your opinion? We are full insured for you to have a test drive and make sure you are really happy before you buy. Please email me with any questions. I'm always happy to help
