1952 MG TD

YSU 197 has come to us in exceptional condition and has been restored to a very high standard. The first restoration we are aware of was back in 1985-1986 over in the U. S. At this point the car was totally stripped down. re-worked as necessary and totally re-painted. We have a report from the early 1990's confirming the MG had covered around 1500 miles since and was in very good order. All components and parts were replaced or overhauled and it was reported there was no rust visible on the car.

We have invoices for various remedial works in the early 1990's and annual mileages tell us the MG has been in regular use since coming over to the U. K. It is clear from the stunning. glass finish paintwork that it has been re-painted over the past ten years and the upholstery is beautiful having being totally re-trimmed many years ago. The interior boasts stunning Black leather seats. brand new carpets. superb dash cover and excellent door cards. The vinyl hood is old but in very good order. replaced when initially restored in the late 1980's and the MG also comes with side screens and tonneau cover. The engine bay is beautifully presented and detailed. the chrome work gleams and wheels and tyres are in excellent order. The body panels are in excellent order. the body is structurally superb and the car is very straight.  

The MG is strong mechanically with a very good engine holding excellent oil pressure. The MG handles and brakes well. the gear changes are smooth up and down the gearbox and the car will be fully prepared in our workshops prior to leaving us. The TD will be supplied with a full 12 months MOT. service and function check.  The MG was converted from LHD to RHD in 2015 and we believe the car has been used for overseas touring. hence being kept in LHD format until now. This is an ideal choice if looking for a top class TD that has proven reliability and is capable of long distance touring.
