About to arrive; This car is currently having a full service & correct set up by Marque Specialists The Priory Vintage Car Company. A full photo shoot will be done as soon as Priory have finished working their magic.

This car is possibly in the best order of any 20hp we have handled. When seeing it for the first time one imagines how it must have been to arrive at James Young & drive it out of the gates on its first journey when brand new. The condition is simply stunning. The car comes to us with a massive sheaf of bills attesting to restoration by all the right people. Wildae Restorations feature prominently in the invoice file as does Steve Penny for the beautiful Japanned Leather roof; the list goes on & on. We have not added all the bills but over £60k has been spent. A Japanned Leather hood cover snaps easily into place completing the ensemble with aplomb when the hood is down.

The coachwork is that of a particularly pretty Doctors Coupe by James Young. with the dickey seat to the rear. The paint is flawless Kingfisher Blue done to a very high standard over black wings & black door tops. To the interior is crocodile patterned blue leather throughout with matching blue carpets. the leather extending to the dickey seat.

The attention to detail on this car has to be seen to be appreciated. The dashboard is beautifully finished straight grain walnut as are the typical of James Young raised relief door caps & similar cubby hole/glove box to the passenger side. All instrumentation has been removed & refinished to as new standards. The 7-day clock keeps perfect time & is wound by rotating the outside bezel.

Under the bonnet the car is simply immaculate & to show winning standards. The engine starts readily & settles down to an incredibly low idle where one may watch the individual markings on the fan belt as it slowly revolves. The engine was meticulously balanced during the rebuild resulting in one of the sweetes & smoothest I have encountered. The car has seen only sparing use since completion & really comes across as being a new car. A correct Lucas no 40 oil can sits in its appointed place on the engine undertray. A large nickel Klaxon is mounted to the bulkhead.

If you are looking for perfection in an early 3 speed 20hp then you would do well to consider this car. It sits on narrow beaded edge tyres with the wire wheels being covered with very period looking discs. The spare is rear mounted in correct Rolls Royce fashion.
