This classic Anglia is in very good useable condition. benefiting from many new or refurbished/re-conditioned parts. including;

New Clutch Master Cylinder (July 16)
Refurbished Clutch Slave Cylinder (July16)
Refurbished Brake Drum Cylinders (July 16)
Reconditioned Steering Box (August 11)
New Wheel Bearings (August 11)
Recent Rear Shocks

There were also some chrome parts replaced in July this year. including the Bonnet V. Wing Mirrors. Door Handles and exhaust tail pipe. A new carpet set and weather seals were fitted at the same time.

Being a 1959. it doesn't require an M. O. T. though it does have one until 04/08/17. for peace of mind. I also have old M. O. T's dating back to 2004. Road Tax is also free and classic car insurance is pennies. This really is a sound investment. I'm only selling it to hopefully replace it with a Ford Consul. If you put your £3500 in the Bank for a year. you will do well to earn 1% on it. This little car will only go up in value. so why not put a smile on your face with the money instead.

The Anglia was painted about 5 years ago and although still in beautiful condition and showing very little signs of age. it has developed micro blisters under the paint. which I have tried to show in a couple of the close up pictures. These are unnoticeable from 2ft away There has been a small patch welded on both sides on the inner sills. That appears to be the only welding the car has ever had or required.

Being the Deluxe Model. this Anglia is fitted with a heater and also has an Electric Kenlowe Fan fitted. The Interior has recently been re-dyed using a Jaguar grey. which contrasts the exterior colour beautifully. The engine and associated parts have been painted using green and black engine enamel.

This is a stunning little car. that puts a smile on your face every time you drive it. it also puts a smile on the faces of just about every one you pass. The Anglia was at Linlithgow Classic Car Show on Sunday (28/08/16) where it was greatly received and held its own in terms of comments and compliments against some of the most expensive and exotic cars in the country.

The Anglia wasn't registered in the UK until 1979. so I can only assume it came from South Africa or Australia. which would help explain why it's so solid and not required welding

There is a small oil leak from the rear engine seal. but I have recently added an oil additive designed to bring old seals back to life. so this may reduce or stop. If I was being harsh. the car would benefit from new bumpers and there is a crack on the top of the dash board. A new head liner was fitted a few years ago but it would benefit from a clean.

In summary. this is a very clean. well looked after. original little car. It's not a show winner. though easily could be with a little time and money. if that's what you wanted. It starts. drives and stops exactly as it should. The speedo is showing just under 65'000. though I have no history to back this up. other than the previously mentioned M. O. T's
