1956 CHEVROLET PICKUP 3100. IFS COILOVERS. 4 LINK NARROWED 9" LSD. WILWOOD 12" DISCS!
- Up for sale I have an unfinished 1956 Chevrolet 3100 short bed. small back window project.
- As shown in the pictures the truck is basically a complete rolling body. The cab is original and has been sand blasted and sealed. The front fenders and supports are to suit a 57 front end and grill. The body is in great shape for its age and as shown in the pictures is rust free. The normal problem areas such as cab corners. hinge pockets. floors. doors. drip rails are all clean. original and rust free. As I said it has been sand blasted so there is no hidden bog or filler. It is a great clean body to use as a staring point for a custom build.
- The pickup has an aftermarket smooth tailgate installed and comes with an aftermarket roll pan. It also comes with a brand new complete dash which was intended to be converted to RHD before being installed.
- The original chassis has been modified with a complete Heidts independent front end. with tubular control arms. coilovers. sway bar. and power rack and pinion steering. The chassis has been boxed and in the rear has a Heidts 4 link setup with a narrowed 9" diff with a rebuilt LSD centre to suit 12"-14" wide rears. The pickup does come with a set of Air Ride shock wave air bags for the rear which could be installed or replaced with coilovers. 12" Wilwood drilled and slotted brakes have been installed with polished billet calipers. billet front hubs and new front spindles.
- The truck has new door latches. strikers. handles. regulators and barrels. the doors line up well and open and close good. Also included is a brand new windseheld. new front and rear window rubbers. a brand new chrome front bumper. with brackets and bolts. new headlight bezels. park lamps. tail lamps and new polished bed stripes. It also has a new under floor power brake booster and master cylinder setup installed with new brackets.
- The pickup is rolling on a good set of rally wheels. with good tyres. trim rings and caps.
- This is a great starting point for someone to build a very tough Chev truck. Although it needs alot of work. alot of the hard work has been done and it has lots of potential to be a great build.
- The truck has a vild VIN tag and numbers. and has an Australian import approval.
