1969 Chevrolet Camaro.   I've owned this car for the past 26 years. it was my first car.  This car is no trailer or garage queen. it is driven regularly through the summer months. It is a complete. honest car and speaks for itself.  The car was not a numbers matching original when I purchased it.   It is a Non SS/RS/Z-28 car. it is a 1969 sport coupe Camaro. With that being said. no improvements over the years have been with an original restoration in mind.   A cowl induction hood was added as well as chin and rear deck spoilers.   While not original to this car. they were Camaro options and improve the looks of the car in my opinion.    Over the years it has gone from being my daily driver to a cruiser and fun driving car with the wife and kids.   Body work and paint were performed right before I purchased it in 1990 with all sheet metal replaced minus the door skins.   The condition is what you'd expect from a car with 26 year old body and paint work that's driven frequently.   It is by no means perfect however is still very presentable and cleans up very nicely.   It is equipped with a small block Chevrolet 350 and a TH350 Automatic Transmission.   Four years ago. the car underwent what I considered Phase 1 of a Pro-Touring themed resto-mod.   The bottom half of the car was stripped away. all of the control arms. anti-sway bar. suspension coils. shocks. leaf springs and non-power drum brakes and original rear end unit were taken off of the car.   In place of the old. stock components all new modern Pro-Touring brake and suspension components were added.   Parts from Class Performance Products (CPP) were utilized to include; tubular control arms. upgraded anti-sway bar. all new shocks. coils. multi-stack rear leaf springs. bushings. shackles. a new heavy duty 8. 5 10 bolt rear end unit with a 3. 55 gear set. American Racing Torque Thrust II 17" wheels with Nankong tires as well as new power disc brakes with slotted and drilled rotors on all four wheels. not just the front.   The car now handles. drives and stops in a much better manner.   It tracks straight down the road and is just a much better driving car now.   Phase 2 of my project was to be a LS motor/manual transmission swap and Phase 3 would've been body and paint work.   As happens in life. plans change however and I've made the decision to sell the car with only the first of the 3 phases being completed.   The exterior of the car show's signs of the age of body work and testifies to the fact that this car is a driver.   There are scratches and dings in the paint and body.   The gaps are good however and it is a solid car overall having spent it's 26 years with me in a garage.   The paint is 26 years old and is what I'd call a 20 footer still.   Floor pans are good and the only rust to speak of would be two spots on the original door skins I've depicted in photo's and the trunk pan was slated to be replaced when I got to the body and paint portion of my project with it.   The interior of the car is mostly original with the original red vinyl seats. door panels. headliner. visors. dash and instrumentation.   With the exception of few minor tears and sun fading. the interior is in overall good condition.   A trim piece is missing in the rear package tray area. otherwise it's all there.   A non-original to this car 1969 Camaro center console was added along with the horse-shoe shifter.   The red carpet has been replaced and is in good condition.   Lights. wipers. horn and radio all work on the car.   The car is very sound and I take my children in it. I have no worries about driving it anywhere or the reliability of the car.   While I've tried to give a complete and honest representation of this car. it's virtually impossible to cover the past 26 years of ownership in a listing.   I will answer any and all questions that you may have about the car however.  The car is located near Fort Wayne. IN.  260-438-0705.
