 1958 Mercedes 220s Semi Auto Column Change
This is a fantastic car. Drives without fault. Very smooth and the gear change is perfect.
Starts on the button.
All steering. suspension and brakes all work as they should.
Car was imported from Australia. Uk registered and fees paid. Nova doccumentation to prove. Last owner in Australia had the car for more than 30 years. Car comes with a large history file to prove. Copies of the original data card from Mercedes.
Interior is red leather and is in very good condition. Wooden dash has no cracks or peeling. All chrome work is in great condition.
Car is totally rust free. floor pan. chassis. inner wings and underside are as new.
So advanced for their day. such a drivable useable classic.

Paint work is good and shines well however there is the odd imperfection. The paint on some of the pannels has had a slight reaction. very slight raised almost bubbles. Cant be seen from a meter away but on closer inspection can be seen. To be 100% a respray would be needed. I have been quoted £2500 for this. Really though its good as it is.
