Greetings to All !!! imotors is pleased to present yet another unique Rolls Royce for your motoring pleasure. This is a 1979 Corniche DHC(Convertible). It is one of the most beautiful Rolls Royce's we have offered. and a wonderful opportunity to own a very desirable example that you will be Proud of. This one is quite Elegant. especially with the Exquisite Silver Sand Colour. and Contrasting Double Black Fine Lines and Convertible top. very unique. and absolutely Magnificent. I think it is quite striking!!! This Beautiful Rolls Royce has only traveled 10. 00 miles since new. Amazing!!!!!

In 1972 the Sliver Shadow Coupe(FHC). and Convertible(DHC) were re-named "Corniche". These special cars are called "Coachbuilt". and were created at H. J. Mulliner Park Ward. an entirely different factory than the Saloons. Some assembly was done at Crewe. but most of the work commenced at HJM/PW. Whilst all Rolls Royce's are built entirely by hand. the Corniche is quite special. and built in extremely limited quantities. I'm told it takes 6 weeks to create. and assemble the convertible top!!! Even the Fasia is unique to the Corniche. One look. and you will know exactly what I mean. It is said to be "The world's 'Most Desired' open tourer"!!! I have a 1986. that I have owned for 5 years. I consider it an extension of my personality. and hopefully will have it "forever"!!!

Please keep in mind that this is a 34 year old Rolls Royce that is not "flawless" or "mint". If you want a "show car" or a "perfect" example. this is not the one. This is a WONDERFUL Corniche Convertible. that runs and drives beautifully. I have driven it several hundred miles and it has been a pleasure. The 6. 75 litre light alloy V8 runs great and the Automatic transmission still shifts ever so smoothly.   It stands tall and proud and will give years of pleasure to the lucky winning bidder. I will do the best that I can to describe it's actual condition. There are about 50 photos below. so you can take a tour of the entire car. from outside to inside. even the trunk and the engine compartments are shown. along with many of the wonderful features. please take the time to let all of the photographs load. we're sure that you will be just delighted. If you have any questions or need more info please don't hesitate to ask. As with all classic and collectible vehicles this Wonderful Rolls Royce is being Sold without warranty. It has a clean Pennsylvania Title that reads actual mileage.

This particular example was originally sold to a Doctor in Little Rock Arkansas on December 27. 979. I purchased it from another dealer. who. purchased it from the second owner. who was an avid collector. It is a U. S Spec car. and. as you will notice in the many photos below. has all of it's tools. books. and Mouton Overlays. It is completely original. with some minor cosmetics being done to maintain it's fresh appearance. There are copies of the first few pages of the build sheets pictured below. We have the complete booklet. and will include it with the sale. We were lucky enough to acquire this beautiful motorcar. and be able to offer it here to you here on eBay Motors.

THIS IS THE ONE!!! If you ever wanted one of these Hand Made masterpieces. this is your Golden Opportunity. Bid Now. Remember. when you try to snipe somebody ALWAYS gets shut out at the end. If you are that somebody. and we've ALL been that somebody at least once!. You will have that sick feeling in the pit of your stomach. Don't let this one get away.

The exterior colour is called Silver Sand with double black fine lines. which set it off quite nicely. They are a little thin in a few spots. probably due to many years of polishing. The paint is in very nice condition considering this is an almost 35 year-old car. It is bright and shiny. and makes a Lovely appearance. There are some chips here and there. and some very light "checking" in a few spots. which is very common on older Rolls Royce's(because the paint is so thick!!).   Being almost 35 years old I am sure that there has been some paintwork done here and there.   As you can see in the photos it is just magnificent. The Black Everflex convertible top(known as the "hood") appears to be original. and is in very nice condition. The rear plastic window is also nice. as well. and is very clear. The chrome and brightwork are just gorgeous and are also in excellent condition. The famous Rolls Royce Radiator Grille(which. by the way is also made entirely by hand) is just Breathtaking!!!  The "Flying Lady" stands Tall and Proud. and is just beautiful.   Unlike most older Rolls Royce's this Corniche Convertible has no visible signs of any rust or weather damage. Apparently it was garaged. all of it's life.
 
The interior is Black Leather. piped Beige. The carpets. are Black bound same.   It has Triple X Sundym glass throughout. and a Beige headlining. The leather is in Excellent condition. It is still soft and supple. and has that wonderful smell that only a Rolls Royce has!  We have had some areas redyed to freshen it's appearance. As you will notice in the many photos below. it is absolutely stunning! The famous hand polished and finished veneers throughout the car are just gorgeous as well. The patterns are just breathtaking.   There are DETAILED photos below.   As one would expect. The" Best Car in the World" is equipped with Split Level Climate Control that keeps the lavishly appointed interior cool in the summer. and toasty warm. when necessary. The window lifts and seats are electric and work just fine. The original sound system is still fitted. and sounds wonderful. The Cruise Control is present. however is inoperative. we have no estimate for repair.

We have the original build records(chassis card details) for this Fabulous Corniche Convertible. so you can follow it's assembly. from the original order by Robertson Rolls Royce. to the first lucky owner!!! Can you imagine the thrill. taking delivery of a BRAND NEW Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible!!!! They are quite interesting to read. and very fascinating. I'm sure that the lucky new owner will thoroughly enjoy them.

I have been test driving this Wonderful Corniche. and have put several hundred miles on it.   As one would expect. it is a pleasure. quite smooth and quiet. The White Stripe Michelin radial tyres have about 60% tread left on them. but are probably old. as Michelin has not produced whitewalls in this size for many many years. Replacement is recommended for long distance driving. The rear gas springs were just renewed.   We have just had the oil and filter changed(Castrol GTX 20/50 of course) and performed a safety inspection. It has been fully detailed by the famous "Attention to Detail Services" and is ready for your excitement. There are a complete set of books and manuals. The large and small tools are present. As mentioned above the cruise control is inoperative. and we have no estimate for repair.

This is a very rare opportunity to own one of the finest driving cars available in the world. It is mechanically and cosmetically in wonderful condition and will give the lucky winning bidder many years of enjoyment.
