Here at MissChiTown we are very big fans of the XKE's with the V12 motors.  We are well aware of the fact that the six cylinder XKE's have been shooting stars and are being closely followed by the V12's.   We feel that the V12's will be worth more then the six cylinders as history has always proved that the greater number of cylinders the greater the price when everything plays out.   Be that as it may. the 1973 Jaguar XKE roadster in this ad has a lot of interesting plusses! 

First of all this car has only had two owners.   The current owner (the 2nd owner) purchased it from the original woman owner who hardly used it.   It is always nice to have a car that has only had one or two owners.  

Secondly it has very low mileage. 24. 98 miles on odometer.   As we mentioned the original woman owner very seldom drove it.   The current owner tells us that he has documentation confirming the 24. 98 miles are correct.   The original owner told the second owner that the paint and the interior are original. which again is another big plus! 

The private seller has provided his comments.

The gentleman who owns this 1973 Jaguar E-Type roadster tells us that he purchased the car approximately 14 years ago from the woman who purchased it new.   The original owner drove it very seldom.   The original owner passed along paperwork including the vehicle invoice when purchased new. many maintenance invoices and an inspection report.

So the original mileage of 24. 98 on the odometer has a paper trail.   The original owner told the current second owner that the paint. interior. engine. transmission and spoke wheels are all original.   The private seller did mention that the new owner may want to have the driver seat re-stitched but overall the interior is in extremely nice original condition.   There is a very minor ding in the right rear panel and the seller said that the paint is in tact and probably is less then the size of a dime…we could not see the minor ding in the photos but the seller wanted to point that out.   In addition there is another even more minor ding about two inches above the chrome bumper.   Again we could not find it in the photos.  

The private seller tells us that the car has lived its entire life in a very dry area of the western states.   It is never driven in wet weather and has been garaged since day one.  

The private seller tells us that the car has air conditioning and when we asked if it blew cold he said he didn't know as he never uses it.   The original spoke wheels are very nice.  

It is hard to find a really great V12 roadster that is an original car in such lovely condition.   While this car is not a trailer queen it is probably as nice as you can find for a driver and the reserve is well on the low end of the market and somebody has the potential of getting a really great car at a wonderfully competitive price.  

Keep in mind that in reference to driving your XKE the V12s have lots more room on the inside. ride much better and have plenty of torque to satisfy anybody who wants to show off the amazing acceleration of the V12 roadster.   If you check the charts on the Internet you will see that the V12s are in a very fast rising appreciation mode with no indication that the rising prices are going to slow down.   Here at MissChiTown we are very high on V12 roadsters and V12 coupes as we believe that they are fantastic cars to drive and could be adding money into your bank account every year while you are enjoying the pride of ownership.
