RILEY ELF MK3 1968 PERSIAN BLUE, NEW CLUTCH FITTED not Austin Mini

Hi and welcome to this add for a lovely 1968 Riley Elf MK111.

New clutch just fitted with new engine mounts. please read full description

This Elf has MOT until 14 March 2014.

Tax until Feb 2014 also tax exempt.

I purchased the Elf in June last year as an unfinished project. great fun to drive turns heads wherever you go. nbsp; Viewing more than welcome. car is located 10 miles north of Bourne.  

Bodywork.

before I got the car the car had undergone welding to the following areas to include
2 new front wings. 2 new A panels. repair section to scuttle panel. repair to one side of front of bonnet. drivers door has outer bottom skin and inner bottom skin replaced. rear quarter bottoms replaced and rear side bottoms above bumper sides replaced. new front and rear valances. sill repairs and a new floor although this appears to have been welded over the old one inside. Body then refinished In Persian Blue cellulose with Old English white roof. The Chrome work is acceptable for the age of the car with age related pitting on the bumpers and rear lights. and a couple of small dents on the chrome trim on the doors but overall looks very good in appearance.

Interior.

The car was missing a front seat when I got it and the other was very poor. so I purchased a good interior in a pastel green colour. the front seats have been retrimmed to very good standard and the rear seat re-coloured to match. the door trims were from the same car also. the carpet is in good order and not that old. I have also fitted new underlay under the carpet.  

Engine.

Car was purchased as a runner and has had new plugs. leads. oil filter. air filter. fresh oil and runs and performs well. the exhaust looks new and so does the radiator and water hoses aswell.

Suspension.

All subframes look good and have been previously undersealed all the underside has been undersealed. . I have drained all the old Hydrolastic fluid and refilled with fresh

Electrics.

All outside lights are working. the car has an Amp meter fitted all gauges working. heater works well. Horn is on a seperate switch.

5. New windscreen rubber

6. New rear window rubber

7. New rear window opening rubbers

8. 4 New tyres. spare also new

9. New chrome arch trim both sides

10. New Number plates

11. New air filter

12. New oil filter

13. Fresh engine oil

14. New spark plugs

15. New leads

16. New indicator Stalk

17. New vinyl for parcel shelf and rear pockets

18. 2 new rear wheel cylinders not fitted but included in sale

19. New Heater valve located on engine

20. New clutch slave cylinder 

21. New clutch master cylinder repair Kit

22. New Voltage stabiliser

23. New temperature sender unit.

24. New Clutch

25. New crank shaft oil seal.

26 New engine mounts

27 Reconditioned NSR Displacer

Good used items that I sourced

1. Good interior with retrimmed front seats. nearly new carpet

2. good door chrome for around the windows

3. Good replacement sealed beam headlights

4. Austin Mini inertia seat belts

5. Good door rubbers and boot rubber.

A couple of bad points I can think of. a new gear lever gaiter as the old one is split. also there is a chip on the drivers door this happened when fitting but has been touched in. The Chrome arch trim is a pig to fit I have fitted 4 now on this car but still got a crease when the arch meets the sill. one side is better than the other. nbsp;these are available from Woolies trim for about £7.  it looks alright to me. thought I best mention it.
