1930 Model A Rat Rod roadster built at Mark Whitney Mehran's custom shop Hot Rod Surf.   Mark has built many rat rods including this one.   It was nicknamed Deadbolt and Voodoo Doll.   Car has been seen in a magazine or two in the past.   Car was built for the lead singer "Harley" from the band Deadbolt.   Older pictures of the car can be seen at Mark's website "Hot Rod Surf".

Car now has a 1960's small block chevy. 283 cubic inches.   Engine has forged pop-up pistons and a very mild cam.   Pro Street brand harmonic balancer.  Freshly rebuilt cylinder heads.   Electronic ignition with new cap. rotor. and wires.   Edelbrock carburetor.   Offenhauser Port-O-Sonic high-rise aluminum intake manifold with chome oil filler breather and stainless steel bolts.   Polished cast finned aluminum scoop.

Chrome crankshaft and water pump pulleys.   Chrome alternator brackets.   Chrome oil pan and chrome dipstick.   Finned cast aluminum valve covers.   Aluminum custom radiator and aluminum swivel water neck.  Electric fan and one wire alternator.   Electric fuel pump.   Spun aluminum finish fuel tank.

Traditional split bones suspension.   Frame has been Z'd in the front and rear.   Rear ladder bar style suspension with leaf spring.  Disc brakes in front with drums in the rear.   Speedway front multi-leaf spring with stainless steel bolts.   I-Beam front axle.   Steering column has stainless steel u-joints.   Early 50's Mercury rear end with polished and finned aluminum rear housing cover.   Stock TH350 transmission.   Coker bias-ply white wall tires.   Painted wheels with chrome center caps and chrome lug nuts.

Car is a blast to drive.   I don't think I have ever left the house without someone taking pictures of the car.   It gets a lot of attention and makes a lot of noise.   Pipes blow naturally aspirated flames at night.   I'm 5'10 and fit comfortably.   Reserve is $10. 01.

Buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping.   Pleae keep in mind the car sits lower than your average car. although I have never scrapped anywhere.
