1966 VOLVO P1800S SURVIVOR ALL ORIGINAL CA GARAGE FIND ONLY 2 OWNERS NO RESERVE

In 1985. a couple purchased this P1800S in Los Angeles. California. They purchased it from the original owner. a older gentleman that had it garaged with around 30k actual miles in 85'. The second owner's lived out of Orange County. Calif. The wife mostly drove the Volvo as she was a school teacher. In 1993. the family grew & the wife decided she needed a larger vehicle.  
The Volvo was parked in the garage & the couple never had any intentions on selling it. especially the wife. They mention that about every time the garage door was opened. someone would be knocking on the door - always asking if the Volvo was sale. The wife had always thought she would once again be driving her P1800 on a daily bases. 20 years down the road. the owner's both agreed it was time to let go. It was not doing any good by it just hidden away in the garage.

A Original Black Plate Survivor 1966 Volvo P1800 S with only 75k actual miles. Spent it's entire life in Southern California. most of it's life in in/out of a garage. Only has had two registered owner's since new. Remains very original & never to been restored. Has it's original 4 cylinder 1. 8 Liter 4 speed with Overdrive.  Factory Light Green with Black interior.  
Was found sitting in the garage since 1993. The owner mention that it was started time to time but rarely driven the last decade. The body is a excellent example of a sought after Los Angeles Black Plate Survivor. All original panels - floors - trunk compartment & structure. Never been in a major accident or had any replacement panels. The rear tail light panel has two minor dents (From the 1st owner). a few dings here & there but other then that it's pretty straight for it's age. Very solid thru out. floorboards are extremely clean. The very small rust I see is the passenger side fender (dime size holes). Rockers - bottom of the doors - trunk pan are solid. A P1800 is hard to come by in this sort of shape. All the trim & chrome are original but have some slight pitting. All the glass except the windshield is Volvo. Doors / trunk / hood / gas lid open & shut proper.  
The interior is all complete & never taken apart. The owners mention they added the radio back in the 80's but kept the original one as well as all the knobs in a box. The driver seat/door panel shows wear from being used-back seat & passenger show minimal use. Passenger side kick panel lost a couple of clips it appears. The trunk compartment retains all original including the boards. tools & mat.
The original engine is complete and both owners kept it stock including the transmission. In January of 1989. there is a oil change sticker that shows that it had 53. 91. It was put away in 1993. the miles it shows now are 75. 85 & those are said to be original. Recently. I added a new battery in it. drained the old gas & added a new fuel pump. I visited "High Performance Auto Service" in Torrance. Calif. They only specialize with older Volvos & have a lot of rare hard to get parts like the original style fuel pump. Once I added some fresh gas. it started right up and idled but not ready to be driven on the road. So. yes the engine does starts & idles but I recommend going thru the dual carbs. flushing the system & the normal things once a car has sat for nearly 20 years. The owner added a push button start years ago that still works.  
Overall. this is a very original & well cherished 66' P1800S. A Black Plate Survivor that is really solid from top to bottom. I do have the original owners manual & small California pink slip on hand.
