NO RESERVE - bid to buy.  Alpine Series V featuring. front discs. alternator. a smooth shifting full sychro four-speed. a pair of Strombergs and leather seats.
"This car starts reliably. drives predictably and goes about its business with plenty of British character.  Charming in its present state. it can be enjoyed as a driver or taken to the next level of restoration or resto-mod. "

Good clutch. no issues - nice take up. Runs Cool and steady even in hot California summer weather. Brakes stop straight without any fanfare. New tonneau / and a very good convertible top. Period correct alloy wheels that run true without distortion. Radial tires have plenty of treadCurrent California registration in my name.

Black paint is a respray which includes the underside of the hood. jambs and trunk in overall fair to good condition.  Evidence shows the past use of a hardtop that is "foot printed" in the paint around the tonneau snaps but is not unsightly.   Below the left headlight but above the turn signal below it is a dent.  Door panels. carpets and interior panels are all in good condition.  No hardtop is included.
All the gauges work and once the tach finds an RPM it likes. it settles down. the oil pressure is at 45psi warm and the temp gauge reads exactly in the middle and refuses to waver even in 90-100F city driving.   The fuel gauge works correctly too.
The heater and the windscreen blower aren't functioning.  There is an acceptable aftermarket wood steering wheel although the horn button is inop.  That said. all the gauges read correctly. the brake lights. headlights. running lights - all of this is good.  Doors close nicely and the gaps are good. the hood releases nicely. again good gaps and the trunk opens. stays up but the gap is more present on the left side.
The stereo is proudly mounted atop the transmission tunnel and there are at least four speakers and possibly more but what is there. works nicely.  Other luxuries include roll up windows and a leather center console arm rest.
The top is newish and the rear Isinglass is much clearer than the pictures would indicate.   The tonneau is absolutely new and does double duty as the boot as well.   The seatbelts should be upgraded and there are several inexpensive solutions to modernizing them with inertia reels.   The bumpers are actually pretty straight and good candidates for replating; all lenses are in good condition.  The windshield is good driver quality and free of any stars or cracks.
Nice car. not a queen or a concours gem. just solid.  Just acquired two Jaguar XK's and even I know I've got to trim the fleet to maintain domestic harmony.
