The Chevrolet Suburban has been in continuous production since 1934. Chevrolet was not the first or only manufacturer to use the word suburban for a vehicle which meant a windowed. station wagon type body on a commercial frame. Dodge. Plymouth. Studebaker. Nash and GMC used the same word to describe their similar vehicles. It wasn't until 1988 that General Motors was awarded an exclusive trademark on the name "Suburban. " The name was used on their Chevrolet and GMC vehicles.

This Suburban is a fourth generation. produced from 1947 to 1955. In 1952. this Suburban is a 1/2 ton with Barn Doors

This Suburban was purchased from the Original Owner two years ago. who after serving in World War II/ was a Appliance Repair Man/ he used this Suburban until 1994 as his daily driver/ In 2000 he started a complete restoration as his Bucket list goal was to drive it throughout the USA. Unfortunately at 91 he passed on and I purchased his truck with the intent of making it a Woody.

She runs extremely strong- shifts nicely- great oil pressure- new exhaust - lots of new parts- labor of love on this one.
