Lotus: Elite Series II

 I am selling my extremely rare 1962 Lotus Elite Series II. Chassis number EB1466. Engine number FWA-3007-1.

I have been trying to buy the car for the last 5 years to restore it and beginning of this summer i finally did. However recently something came up that were not expected and unfortunately now I have to sell it. Sad part is over the last year I built an entire new garage so I can restore it.

Now to the car. As you can see I am selling a VERY RARE Lotus Elite Series 2 car. The car was partially taken apart by the previous owner an 84 year old man. Originally the car came in a Canary yellow colour (not sure of the proper name) however at one point it was painted green. The interior was a beige colour and have the original seats along with one black one. The car is not currently ruining and don't believe it has since the previous owner started taking apart back in 2000. (i have pictures from back then) The car has a lot of extra parts including extra rim. have original carpet and interior. The seats are great but this car should be fully restored.

THE GOOD

1962 Lotus Elite Series II

Engine FWA 3007 Coventry Climax
ZF Manual Transmission
4 original rims plus one extra with ancient Michelin tube tires
1 extra rim
1 MG rim.
have original grill in the front with mesh
As far as I can tell 95% of the parts are there including many extras.
The fiberglass body is in fare shape
It has the original bag windshield washer fluid container.

THE BAD
The fiber glass body is mostly good however the front lip is damage cause the previous owner installed a home made metal tow bar so he can tow the car to the body shop when he got around to it.
There are a couple of areas on the fenders that looks like it was over sanded.
On the inside i notice a hole in the center console.

Unfortunately since I am not the one that took the car apart so not sure if anything is missing. I do know the car ran in 2000 when the previous owner purchased it and started to take it apart. I have pictures to prove it.
Currently the engine is not running however it does turn over. it does require a tune up. I started buying things for it but well I don't have the time to swap the parts out and get it going. Plus it should be fully restored.
