Opportunities like this don't come up very often. A genuine Model B Coupe Survivor. with known history.

1932 Ford Model B 5 Window Coupe with rumble seat.

Real Henry Steel with wonderful history. Original Steel body & Chassis Rails

Build in USA for the Canadian market and exported new from Canada to Scotland – The Ford Corporate Museum has record of the cars manufacture. movements. dealership & sale.

Registered GS4282 as sold new in Scotland in 1934.

Re allocated the number LSU 328 by the DVLA in the late 1980's as the original buff log book details had not been electronically transferred

The car sat in a garage for an unknown amount of years and was sold as part of the late owners estate in the mid 80's.

It was upgraded to a hot rod by a guy named Tuums who sold the car to Dave Palmer who was running the Rod Shop business at the time.
At that time the car was powered by a Rover V8 and had a tube axle. The original chassis is believed to be the pattern for the chassis jig and the first one jigged up by Tony Theron at American Street Rod Parts.
The last owner bought the car off Dave Palmer in 1988 and ran it as was. By this time Dave had changed the tube for an aftermarket dropped I beam and the Centre Line wheels had been replaced by steels and ‘36 type hub caps. The car was briefly sold to John Kenneison. John painted a red bottom half on the car and fitted a 283ci Chevy engine and it graced the cover of Custom Car magazine in 1993 & had a full feature ( copy included)
The last owner bought it back off John and repainted the bottom half black. s he couldnt bare to be without it.

This was pretty much how the car remained until recently. hen the car has just undergone a partial rebuild. osting £12. 00. including:

Chassis work retaining the original rails. partly boxed and now with new engine mounts & cross member and new gearbox cross member
400 HP engine which is a 355 ci four bolt Corvette block fitted with a high lift cam and Racing Head Services Heads.
The matching transmission is built by B&M and is rated for use with a super charged engine.
The front axle and all associated parts have been replaced. including the spindles. rotors. bearings. spring & hardware and 1946 wishbones. The brakes are mid 40's Ford with Buick drums
The steering box is a new Vega unit & is connected to a Speedway column and topped with a Ford Corsair steering wheel.
Brake and throttle pedals are aftermarket
New loom fitted. new running board covers fitted. ew wheels and Firestone white walls
All work by Colin Jefferies.

So there you have it. a real steel 5 window coupe Hot Rod. The body is unchopped. It has the wind down rear window and opening front. The paint is old . ut still polishes up well. There is a patch panel fitted and lacquered ( to show its steel). The interior could do with updating. but its very useable. nd all there.
Either enjoy it as it is. or steadily improve the cosmetics. f thats what you wish.

I'm happy to take anything interesting in Part Exchange .

Thank You
Andrew
