classic ford sierra 2.0 gl pinto

located in county armagh bt66 postcode is this lovely clean original early sierra 2. 0 GL . manual 5 speed in ford rustic red . this colour is a metallic bronze and is unique to 1983/84 cars . these small headlight sierras replaced the mk5 cortina . they were a culture shock to cortina owners at the time with its lovely rounded lines and smooth shape . they were nicknamed the jelly mould if i remember correctly . i had a mk5 cortina before this and i can tell you the sierra is light years ahead in comfort and suspension than the cortina . i bought this car over a year ago to use as my summer run around . it has now just turned 51. 00 miles and was a ONE lady owner car from new prior to me buying it . v5 is in my name . mot'd until may 2017 but just put on soon last week .  4 new tyres . new thermostat and timing belt . she starts first time everytime and is a lovely driving car . the 2 litre pinto is purring like a kitten and is smoke and rattle free as is the 5 speed type 9 gearbox  .  there is 1 small spot of paint flaked off around the lower edge of the fuel filler cap and apart from that the car has lovely paintwork and zero rust . there are a few very small dinges from doors opening against her over the years but only noticeable up close . even the rear arches are like new which is the first place the sierra rusted . over the last 10 years i have had about 5-6 different sierras and this is as nice a car as i have seen . for a 33 year old car she is in remarkable condition .  i fitted rear seatbelts from a ghia sierra to her for taking my children out and about . with the inner quarter panels off .  i sprayed dinitrol rust proofing down inside the rear quarter panels and down into the wheel arches to keep them good for years to come . i also did the door bottoms . sills . engine bay and bulkhead when i was at it . the door bottoms are like new .  this is a lovely original car with its flying saucer wheel trims and perfect brown seats . carpet and doorcards .  there are 2 cracks in the dash top near the radio speaker . a common sierra and capri problem .  the radio was missing when i got her and i never bothered fitting one . the car has all its original glass etched with the registration number which was a security feature in the 80s . i have just taken delivery of my  mk1 transit van back from the bodyshop where it had been for a good while being restored so the shed is now full and with the weather on the turn i don't want this lovely motor sitting outside for long . i would like a good home for it so hence the sale . the car is ready to drive away if taxed and insured . i can help arrange a good car transporter company to ship her to the uk mainland . prices from about £250 lancs /  midlands  -  £350 london m25 area . i would prefer cash upon collect or cleared funds before release . less than 10 positive feedback and you will need to contact me to confirm you are a serious bidder or i will have to remove your bid otherwise . i will require a £100 deposit payable via paypal within 24 hrs of auction end . non payers i will name on the relisting so please don't bid unless you have the funds to pay for the car . viewing at weekends due to work . i can send more photos upon request if required . the car is described honestly . check my feedback . any further questions feel free to ask . thanks for looking . regards gerry. tel 00447884185981
