LARGER GEARBOX TUNNEL JUST LIKE THE FORDS IT LENDS ITSELF IN THAT DIRECTION. WOULD BE A SHAME WITH SUCH AN ORIGINAL RUST FREE CAR WITH I LADY RECORDED OWNER AND MEGA LOW MILEAGE BUT THAT DECISION IS FOR THE NEW OWNER. WILL SAY I HAVE OWNED MODIFIED CHEVETTES BEFORE. ONE WITH A BLYDENSTEIN 2. 3 AND MANTA RUNNING GEAR. NE WITH FORD 2. 0 AND FORD RUNNING GEAR AND TURRETED REAR ENDS AND BOTH WERE FAR MORE FUN THAN AN OVERPRICED ESCORT AND WITH IMPORTS FROM EVERYWHERE THE ESCORT IS NOW JUST COMMON. METALLIC PAINT] AND SERVICED TO GIVE TO HIS FATHER. BIG FAN OF IRISH RALLYING. ENCE THE MUDFLAPS AND STICKERS HE FITTED TO IT. PLANNING TO REGISTER IT IN IRELAND HE OBTAINED THE FULL OLD TYPE SMALL V5 FROM THE FAMILY OF THE FIRST OWNER AND OFF IT WENT TO COUNTY CORK. HIS FATHER WHO I KNOW THROUGH RALLY CIRCLES HAD NEVER DRIVEN AN AUTOMATIC AND ON HIS FIRST TRIP OUT HAD A DISAGREEMENT WITH A WALL AND IN SHEER PANIC STAMPED SO HARD ON THE BRAKES HE BROKE THE PEDAL IN TWO. IT NEVER DID GET REGISTERED IN IRELAND AND TO THIS DAY IS STILL REGISTERED ON THE DECEASED FIRST OWNERS DETAILS. 0 PREVIOUS KEEPERS AND LIVE ON DVLA AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE ITEM SPECIFICS PAGE.
BODYWORKTHERE IS SOME LIGHT DAMAGE TO THE NEAR SIDE DOOR WING AND SILL AS PICTURED. COULD HAVE HAD THIS DONE AND WILL DO IF IT DOES NOT SELL BUT IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS IT. VERY LITTLE COMPARED TO RUST. THE COLOUR OF THIS CAR IS VERY UNUSUAL AND THE PAINT CODE OF 23L 821 DOES NOT APPEAR ON ANY LISTS I HAVE FOUND FOR THE CHEVETTE AND ITS A STUNNING COLOUR. THE CAR ALSO HAD A DING ON THE BUMPER OFFSIDE END WHICH CRACKED A PREVIOUS SKIM OF FILLER FROM AN OLD LADY DING BEFORE RESPRAY. HAVE PULLED IT OFF AND IT. CLEAN FRESH METAL UNDERNEATH. THATS ABOUT IT AS FAR AS FAULTS GO. HE WINGS ARE BOTH ORIGINAL DATE STAMPED AND RUST FREE. ILLS ARE ORIGINAL RUST FREEREAR ARCHES ORIGINAL RUST FREEDOORS ORIGINAL RUST FREEUNDER THE BONNET IS EXCELLENT WITH A LITTLE SURFACE RUST IN PLACES FROM FLAKING OLD PAINT BUT ROCK SOLID EVERYWHERE INCLUDING THE BATTERY TRAY. BOOT FLOOR IS EXCELLENT AS ARE THE FLOORS IN THE CABIN. TILL COVERED IN ORIGINAL BLUE PAINT. THE UNDERSIDE IS UNDER SEALED. FEW SMALL AREAS HAVE FLAKED OFF AND A LITTLE SURFACE RUST  HAS APPEARED BUT I HAVE HAD A GOOD POKE EVERYWHERE AND IT. ROCK SOLID. FACTORY SPOT WELDS ARE VISIBLE EVERYWHERE. THE DRIVERS DOOR CHECK STRAP HAS BEEN REMOVED SO THE DISABLED LADY HAD MORE ACCESS AND THE ARE MARKS AND LITTLE DINGS AROUND THE DOOR LOCK INSIDE AND ON THE THE B PILLAR UNDER REAR WINDOW INSIDE WHERE SHE STRUGGLED TO GET IN AND OUT. SCREEN AND REAR SIDE WINDOW RUBBERS SHOWING AGE BUT THEY ARE NOW AVAILABLE. ALL IN ALL THE CAR IS IN AMAZING UNRESTORED AND UNWELDED CONDITION AND WILL SUIT EITHER A CONCOURSE RESTO. VERY NICE DAILY OR REGULAR SHOW CAR OR MODIFYING. br>INTERIORWITH ITS ORIGINAL PHILLIPS RADIO AND NO HOLES CUT ANYWHERE THE INTERIOR IS JUST AS YOU WOULD EXPECT WITH A LOW MILEAGE VEHICLE. ERY NICE INDEED THOUGH I AM NOT SURE THE RED CARPETS ARE ORIGINAL AND NO IDEA WHY THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN CHANGED BUT BELONGING TO A DISABLED USER WALKING AIDS ETC COULD HAVE TAKEN THEIR TOLL AND THERE IS VERY LIGHT FADING TO THE OUTER EDGE OF DRIVERS SEAT BEING VERY CRITICAL. UNDER THE CARPETS ARE EXCELLENT FLOORS AND SOUND PROOFING IT. ALL VERY NICE INDEED. THE COVER ON THE GEARSTICK IS LOOSE. DON. THINK THAT IS A PROBLEM AS AT THE VERY LEAST I. SURE A MANUAL BOX WILL FIND IT. WAY INTO THIS CAR.
MECHANICALSALL AS YOU WOULD EXPECT WITH SUCH LOW MILEAGE AND I HAVE CHANGED THE OIL IN THE ENGINE AND BOX. LUSHED THE COOLING SYSTEM AND WILL BE FITTING AN ELECTRIC FAN ON A SWITCH SIMPLY BECAUSE FOR LOVE NOR MONEY I CANNOT LOCATE THE CORRECT WATER PUMP TO SUIT THE VISCOUS FAN THAT IS FITTED OR FIND A VISCOUS FAN TO FIT THE TYPE OF WATER PUMP THAT EVERYONE SAYS IS THE RIGHT ONE SO IT. GETTING A NEW PUMP AND ELECTRIC FAN. i VERY MUCH DOUBT THE CAR HAS COVERED A 1000 MILES IN ANY ONE YEAR AND BARELY ANY SINCE AT LEAST 2001 SO WHILE EVERYTHING IS GOOD ENOUGH TO GO THROUGH AN MOT I AM SURE IN REGULAR USE IT. GOING TO THROW A FEW THINGS AT YOU. USHES. TICKY BRAKES AND THOUGH THE EXHAUST IS SOUND IT LOOKS LIKE THE ORIGINAL TO ME SO MIGHT LAST FOR YEARS OR BLOW IN A FEW MILES. WILL TRY AND PUT A FEW MILES ON HER BEFORE THE END OF THE AUCTION BUT PLEASE BE AWARE IT. AN OLD CAR THAT HAS HAD VERY LITTLE USE EVER. ND PROBABLY NEVER BEEN ON A MOTORWAY YOU MIGHT WANT TO THINK CAREFULLY ABOUT DRIVING IT A LONG DISTANCE HOME AND YOU CANNOT TAX IT AS I ONLY HAVE THE OLD TYPE SMALL BLUE V5 AND IT IS CURRENTLY CLASSED AS DISABLED. OU WILL NEED TO CHANGE THE TAXATION CLASS AND SEND FOR A NEW V5 IN YOUR NAME BEFORE YOU CAN TAX IT. I HAVE FITTED 4 NEARLY NEW MATCHING FIRESTONE TYRES THAT I HAD STORED. HEY ARE OLDISH BUT NOT SHOWING ANY SIGNS OF AGE.

THERE ARE THE 2 ORIGINAL KEYS THAT FIT ALL THE LOCKS AND I HAVE JUST FOUND A REPLACEMENT BRAKE PEDAL SO THAT WILL BE REPLACED NOT REPAIRED. THINK THERE IS A GRILL MISSING BEHIND FRONT BUMPER. OT BOOKED FOR TUESDAY. br>TO ANSWER A FEW QUESTIONS. HE CAR WAS PAINTED AROUND 2006  AND THERE IS NOT ONE RUST BUBBLE ANYWHERE. OT EVEN WEEPING ON THE SEAMS OF WHICH THESE HAVE A FEW. IT WAS A RUST FREE CAR TO START WITH AND IN 10 YEARS GARAGED OR NOT IT WOULD BE SHOWING SIGNS AGAIN IF IT WERE NOT RUST FREE.

FINALLY GOT HER TO THE  MOT STATION AND TOOK THE CHANCE TO GIVE HER A LITTLE RUN OUT. KNEW SHE WAS GOING TO FAIL THE MOT BECAUSE THERE WAS NO WASHER BOTTLE FITTED. HE ORIGINAL PUMP HAD GIVEN UP AND I HAVE ORDERED A REPLACEMENT AFTERMARKET BOTTLE AND PUMP. HE ORIGINAL TUDOR BOTTLE AND VISCOUS FAN WILL OF COURSE BE WITH THE CAR. HAVE FITTED NEW PADS AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WEAR TO THE DISCS AND TO GIVE YOU SOME IDEA HOW WELL THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN STORED I TOOK A CHANCE AS THEY  ON THE REARS AS THEY WERE WORKING FINE  AND THEY WORKED PERFECTLY ON TEST AND LOCKED OFF EVEN ON THE HANDBRAKE. nbsp;HAD A LITTLE 20 MILE RUN AND SHE DRIVES SPOT ON. HERE WAS NO FAN FITTED YET BUT SHE NEVER WENT HIGHER THAN THE MIDDLE OF THE GAUGE WITHOUT ONE. O NO COOLING ISSUES AND NO STICKY BRAKE ISSUES EITHER. CAN SEE NO REASON WHY SHE COULD NOT BE DRIVEN HOME ANYWHERE APART FROM BEING ON THE DISABLED TAX CLASS. HE OTHER THING SHE FAILED ON WAS THE ONLY THING I DID NOT CHECK ON MY OWN. BRAKE LIGHT BULB LOL. HE WILL HAVE A NEW MOT TOMORROW AND ELECTRIC FAN BEFORE END OF AUCTION. THERWISE THE CAR IS SPOT ON. ND EVERYTHING WORKS. EATER FAN AND HOT HEATER. ADIO . OG LIGHT. WOULD FOR PEACE OF MIND CHANGE THE FLUIDS AGAIN AFTER A FEW HUNDRED MILES. HE HAS BEEN IDLE A LONG WHILE BUT SHE IS READY TO GO. R WILL BE TOMORROW.
