ford f1 pickup 1949 stepside 302 v8 patina hotrod rat rod

this listing is for my ford f1 its actually canadian so is an f47it is a 1949uk registered (current v5 in my name) and is / can be easily and reliably used daily!first of all i would like to mention it has been in uk since nov last yearthe truck as "built in american" for the owner . not as so many are . built in america to be shipped to england to be sold un finished now this does not mean its perfect but is certainly safe and perfectly usablei would and have got in and used it nearly every day. short and long distancedrives lovely handles well and isnt that bad to run not that it matters when you have something like this as the smile out weighs the running cost easily
some specs
12v converted electric wipers (originals were vacum)indicators! as many dont have them till they are added in englandpowersteeringdiscs on front with servo assisted brakesthe running gear is dodge dakota (1989) rear axle and complete front clip . so it has independent front suspension and keeps leaves on the rearthe dodge stuff keeps the ford pcd toothe rear end is chassis notched and the front springs have only had 1 or 2 coils removedyes it is low but it does go over speed bumpsit is not on air ride! it is static as is and is driven like itthe engine is a 302 v8 with a brand new edelbrock carb on a nice period edelbrock cobra manifold (quite rare)new msd coil and ford racing leads. a lovely pair of mt rocker covers electric fan conversionstarts and runs lovelypulls well and no smokehas had the timing and carb set up profesionallythe gear box is a aod (automatic over drive ) so has a pattern of low. drive . over drive. neutral. revers . parkso in drive it goes from gear one to three and then one more click forwar and goes to over drivestick it in over drive from stationary and it will go from one through to over drivevery nice box andalso makes it economicalthis is controlled by a nice tall genie shifterinside is an assortment of electric gauges . speedo fuel. rev counter oil pressure temperature and ampthe speedo is a electronic one (faulty) so there is a gps receiver which supplies the gauge with the speed.  this is a standard off the shelf item so works with nearly all electronic gauges so sourcing a gauge shouldnt be a problemthe fuel tank is an alloy unit and is chassis mounted not in the cab behind the seat. the original neck is left as a dummyit has been fully rewired with a brand new wiring loom and fuse boxeven has electric windows

now there is a few bad bits . nothing major but there is always going to be a few
the speedo has lost some of its leds so some speeds read fine some dontthe gauge will need to be replaced the wiring needs a bit of a tidy up. but all worksone glass on the door has a crack and could do with replacingbut all in all nothing major
