Holden 1976 HX ONE Tonner

This HX One-tonner is a stunning and unique vehicle that has been professionally custom built from the treads up. It draws interest and compliments everywhere I have driven it from the moment I put it back on the road.

I have only ever shown it once and that was in the North Queensland All Holden Day in Townsville where it was up against a great many high end show cars and it took off three in category trophies as well as a Top Ten placing in the entire show.

The wheels are Billet Rails 9. 5in rear and 7in front that were imported from the US and they are fitted with Falken 452 rear and Falken 453 front tyres and anti-theft nuts.

The car has a yellow needle HX Monaro carbon finish dash. completely refurbished and very comfortable HX Statesman buckets finished in black leatherette with red stitching and red piping and a matching console with cup holders. The door trims have been re-trimmed to match and deep plush-pile dark red carpet and sound deadening underfelt is fitted throughout. It has a period correct glove-box mirror. LED brake-light fitted to the inner rear-windscreen. tinted windows and the cab has been modified so that the fuel tank recess was removed and the rear of the cab squared off. There is a leather steering-wheel. new pedals and foot rubbers. stereo CD-Tuner with digital rear window antenna. plus hands free and mic for smartphone connection. day/night rear-view mirror. colour matched LH/LX Torana external rear-view mirrors. two-speed wiper-washers. integrated AC. original HX Statesman power window switches with Jaguar electric-window motors. immobilizer/alarm and power-steering. It has polished aluminium chequerplate rear deck and a toolbox has been fabricated to incorporate the fuel-cell internally as well as 2x12v auxiliary power outlets. The fuel filler is a lockable aircraft type mounted directly behind the cab on the step-side tray. Genuine HX Monaro front guards and Statesman nose are fitted as well as 2x150w spotlights incorporated into the duel headlights. The step-side tray is custom-built as has the aluminium ute-lid. The rear bumper has been custom modified from an HQ bumper and has a trap door number-plate holder that accesses the tow-bar and the winch for lowering and raising the spare-wheel.

Drive-line
The drive-line is Small Block Chev 383Stroker with less than 1000km on it (See details below). Jet-Hot headers. 3inch split-system exhaust with chrome dumpers. TH350 transmission. Dominator 3000 stall torque converter and 355 ratio Ford 9inch LSD. It has four wheel disc brakes and the suspension has been professionally lowered a couple of inches all around and Pedders suspension mods fitted.
