This striking Petrol Blue Mercedes 420SL R107 was registered in March 1986 and supplied by Reliance Mercedes of Essex.    Its last owner enjoyed it for 16yrs as part of a small collection. keeping it garaged and using it at the weekends.

As a post-1986 (facelift) R107 the car benefits from galvanised body panels. improved suspension and brakes plus a switchable sports/economy gearbox.

The 420 offers the perfect compromise between the larger 5L V8 on the 500SL and less torquey 3L 6 cylinder on the 300SL. It wins on the rarity stakes: only 2. 48 420SL's were produced compared to over 14. 00 300SL's.

SERVICE HISTORY & DOCUMENTS

The service book contains 22 stamps. nearly all from Mercedes main dealers. and there are a good number of invoices and old MOT certificates.  The car will be sold with a full complement of owner's manuals together with three keys. both hood release keys and its original tool kit.
