Technical specifications, photos and description:
So I bought this VW off of a guy in Oregon. he and his buddy stripped it down. did light rust repair. primed & painted it themselves. looks great for utilitarian purposes but definitely not 'Car Show Finish'. that being said. it's a solid paint job. They rebuilt the engine and brought it back to the original Bosch fuel injection system. both batteries are new (Yellow Optima) as well as new tires. brakes. calipers. brake lines. master cylinder. throttle body. front end tie rods. front wheel bearings. clutch. steering wheel. front & rear chrome bumpers. center seat box. table. interior florescent light. all exterior light lenses and hub caps. Under carriage is clean. no holes or rust
New tent. green plaid driver's & passenger's upholstery & foam. same plaid fabric to replace discolored back lower bed foam cover & front seat rubber stand covers. all of which have not been installed.
Both stove burners work great. never used sink but I was told it works. fridge works good. wouldn't say it gets super cold but does the job and city power works as well. I also have a 2'x4' solar panel that works perfectly for those long camp trips.
I was stoked to finally own a Westfalia yet my new focus is the growth of my business. so thus the reason for no more time to tinker or invest. I ordered and installed 1/2 of the bamboo panels and will keep driver's door. back panel etc in the box for the next owner. if that's the style they want to continue with.
I also installed a new fuel sender. the gas gauge wasn't working. but it now just registers 1/2 tank when full. starts and runs great. engine & transmission are smooth. just hit 300 miles on rebuilt so got it the recommended valve adjustment at VW Grand Junction. States 86K on odometer.
Just took a surf trip to San Diego for 2 weeks. headed up the coast to SF then cut across to Utah and back to Colorado. so fun. the VW drove great with zero issues.
In Telluride. Colorado and can ship via flatbed just like how I got it from Oregon in 2 days.
