THIS COUGAR HAS JUST ARRIVED IN THE UK FROM VIRGINIA WITH USA TITLE. LL DUTIES PAID AND VOSA LETTER. BE THE FIRST UK OWNER

this is a nice original sold car with hardly any rust. underneath there are 2 small areas in the front floor panels and a very small bit on passenger chassis leg

 NEW FRONT FLOOR PANEL INCLUDED  IN THE SALE  

body panels are very very straight. hood and trunk lid very little rust as well (just surface inside)  please come and have a look as i have not been all over the car. inside the trunk is solid with some of the original sound deadening still stuck in. You may even find the original build sheet as looks like original carpet as well

Engine runs but will no doubt need a tune up as been sitting for a while (Have been told by previous owner that carb will need replacing/rebuild as runs rough)

This was in storage for over 20 years with it being started every few months before previous owner

Brakes do work and glass is all good

seats are very good apart from small hole in rear lower

head lining ripped

NEW HEADLINING INCLUDED IN THE SALE

door panels. 1/4 panels in very good condition

overhead console in good condition

Dash top in good condition

headlight doors go up as they should

If this cougar is out of your price bracket. then you may be interested in 2 others i have. they need quite a bit more work but may be in your price range

68 cougar. non runner (engine does not turn) needs welding. good interior. body not to bad £3800

Both need a fair bit of work as long as you have the time to do

This is the last cougars that i will be importing now (unless one falls on my lap) as they are very hard to find in the USA at these prices. they are going up over there along with the exchange rate

50th anniversary next year of the first mercury cougar. watch them increase like the mustang

if you have not got the time or want a easy project then buy the XR7
