I have listed this twice now and been messed about by dreamers both times.   Please only bid if you are absolutely sure you want it and /or your wife will let you buy it!! As it says in the listing I would urge anyone bidding to view the car first. you are bidding to buy not view!!! I have also added a Buy it now price

A recent visit to the USA has rekindled my love of V8s so I have decided to advertise this and buy something from the States. If it doesn't sell I'll finish it I thought I'd offer it out as an easy project for someone to finish.

I purchased this Escort as a painted rolling shell. Its had panels as follows: 2 wings . rear arches. . sills. floor pans . ront panel and rear panel. It's had a new large Tunnel fitted and seat crossbars. It is now obviously an extremely solid rust free car. Its been painted in Ford Olympic Blue 2 pack. The underneath is finished in very tough Stonechip and also Olympic Blue.

Its is correctly registered as a 2000 as it used to have a Pinto in it and will qualify for Historic Vehicle status so will be Tax Free.

To finish the car needs Fuel and Brake lines running. some wiring. the standard loom is there and the battery lead is run from the boot to a cut off switch on the dash. It needs an Exhaust system and cooling sorting (Rad and hoses) none of which is going to cost much.  The paintwork needs flatting and polishing . its is good but there are a couple of little bits that you might want to redo if you're fussy. I do. however have some left over paint that came with the car.

Basically it's nearly there. I'm sure they'll be various other jobs I've forgotten about which'll need doing but it should now be an easy enough project for someone.  Anyone who knows Escorts will know how much it would cost to get an Escort to this standard . specially if you had someone build it for you so grab yourself a bargain while you can!!


The car is kept in a large . ell lit. garage and is available to view most evenings or weekends by prior arrangement. I am in a small village slightly to the north of Milton Keynes.
