 I HAVE SPENT A FEW HOURS ADJUSTING THE TIMING. ADJUSTING THE CARB AND IT RUNS AND DRIVES ABSOULUTLY FANTASTIC. IT RUNS BETTER THAN ANY TRABANT I'VE OWNED.

Hello and welcome to my auction for my 1983 Trabant Kubelwagon. This is a very rare care at a fantastic buy it now price.
Parts cheap. and we have a UK based supplier. Very simple mechanicals. low maintainance. Only 5 moving parts in the engine. Air cooled so easy!
Kubel's share the same mechanicals as a Trabant 601 Saloon.
UK Registered. With V5 Present and correct.

This is an appreciating classic. and are going up in value all the time.
Car is currently insured with Footman James.  £150 a year fully comp WITH AGREED VALUATION OF £10. 00 which it would cost to buy one of these and being to this spec. This is unlimited miles too.
There are only 4 of these in the UK. There is another for sale for £6995. this is £2500 cheaper!

Sorry to genuine ebayers. if you have sold anything on here recently you will know where I am coming from.
This is a factory Kubel that has just been fully and professionally stripped and painted this year. Be careful when buying a Kubel that its not fitted with  a replacement shell as a lot do. The way you can tell is the VIN will have an E before the numbers. this means Ersatz (Translated means replaced). This seriously effects their collectibility.
It was totally stripped to allow painting and reassembled with any parts that needed replacing replaced along the way.
This Kubel offered here is a factory Kubel and the VIN and chassis number confirms this.

This is a lot of car for the money. just think how much it would cost to buy a restored one in NVA spec from Germany. ship it over here an then go to hassle of registering etc.

This has been totally stripped. painted an reassembled with anything replaced or refurbished that has needed it along the way.
I may have missed things good or bad. if I notice any either way I will update the auction.
1) Brand new paint in correct RAL 6003 NVA green.
2) NVA Decals fitted
3) Refurbished steering rack with new tack rods and track rod ends.
4) New OSF king pin bush assembly fitted. The NSF is perfect.
5) New RHD headlights.
6) Wiring loom has been removed. repaired and reinstalled. Everything has had a going over!
7) Has all the UK requirements fitted. Front seat belts. BRAND NEW rear seatbelts. Brand new original DDR fog light on UK side.
8) Brakes totally overhauled. New Drums. Shoes and wheel cylinders at a cost of over £500!!!
9) Brand new 6v Battery with 4 Year guaranteed at a cost of £120.
10) Fuel system overhaul. petcock rebuilt. new petrol hoses am new carb float valve and valve.
11) Recon Starter Motor
12) Brand new voltage regulator
13) Brand new dynamo
14) Recon washer motor
15) New plugs and leads
16) New washer bottle an pump.
17) New Air filter 
18) Has original DDR fuel guage fitted!
19) All parts that were ok have had a lock of paint like steering column and pedals. Pedals have new rubbers fitted.
20) New inner CV boots
21) New windscreen wipers
22) New windscreen rubber
23) New bonnet hinges.
24) Spare parts included.
25) Roof in good. original condition but it is 30 years old!
26) Tyres are like brand new. literally 1000km on them . They are identical to originals.
27) Now runs fantastically! 
Roof takes seconds to put up and take down!

You will find most German cars don't have seatbelts or even months for them. These have been professionally fitted on this car. a UK requirement for its age. just like the fog light. RHD headlights ETC all done!
This car has had more spent on it than the asking price!
Has brand new rubber flooring as it would have had originally and other interior touches
Interior is near mint.
Has 2 sets of Canvas doors1) Half summer doors2) Full winter doors with see through plastic.
Front wings and bonnet  are  made out of duroplast. rest is steel.

Requires tracking setting up 100% as its had a lot of new steering parts.

A lot of NVA gear to be fitted it desired but is included with the car :-)
