1969 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class for sale
Current customer rating: (150 votes ) based onThis car does not have the soft top frame only hardtop as shown
VIN # 113 044 12 005010 Early 1969 build date Jan 1969 !
Engine was replaced at some time .
Engine # 130 980 12 015615 280 SE (W108 E28 sedan and W111 E28 Coupe and cabriolet)9. 5 CR
Original color ! 304 G horizon blue color code - 904 G Midnight blue hardtop color and hubcap color as well
This car is a theft recovery from 2012 . When I got the car the following parts had been stolen off of it
Hood -grille - bumpers -headlights - tail lights -radio - instruments -dash chrome - wood
Soft top frame - soft top cover and "B" chrome caps - turn signal wiper arm - some dash pads
glove box - some switches as well .
I have replaced the Hood -grille - bumpers -headlights - instruments and some switches - tail lights
and will also include the dash chrome - glove box - dash pads as well ( not shown on the car at this moment )
NOTE: Front headlight doors ( the plastic covers ) are broken and will need to be replaced
the headlight bulb holders and sealed beams are like new - Tail lights are excellent as well
Front bumper is ok but has some dings - extra driving lights are OEM Bosch lights as well .
Hood is in excellent condition - bare aluminum so not much left to do except paint and finish
mounting it . This is a very solid car to restore - I found no real problem rust issues at all on the
body or on the frame and floors except some typical surface rust on a few areas where the factory undercoating
has worn away . Trunk floor has some surface rust but is still solid and we painted it as well . Original
excellent factory trunk mats ! Seats are in excellent condition just need a little cleaning but no rips or tears at all
1 door panel was removed but both are in very nice condition as you will see . Also missing a few dash panels
and as before wood is gone but you can get one of those $500 repro kits ( I know you see them for $600 _$700
but really can get them for way less and they are the same supplier . Not sure why but the alternator is in the car
as it was removed from the engine as well as the fan blade -- The engine turns over fine by hand . I cleaned it up and did a quick detail of it as well so it looks very nice - in fact I never understand why many of those $100. 00 +++ 280sl's never clean and detail the engine compartments !
Ignition lock is messed up ( they had to do that to steal the car !!!! We will include an aftermarket ignition and key
Good luck
