1986 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class 560SL CONVERTIBLE

You are bidding on an all original. 1986 Mercedes 560SL with only 16. 00 original. documented miles.  This is the nicest 560SL I have ever seen.   The car is completely original including the paint interior exhaust and even the original tires.   The car is Smoke Silver Metalic with Medium Red Leather seats and interior. with a black Cloth Soft top.   I purchased the car from the original owner who kept the car in a heated and air conditioned garage its entire life.   The original paint shines like new with no paint work or repairs of any kind.   The Interior is also like new and all original including the carpet and original floor mats.    The original spare tire still has the Bar code sticker on the tread and the Tool bag is still in the original plastic bag it came in. I have the Owner's Manuals. Both original keys. and Warranty Plate. All of the tires are original and still have all of the original Mercedes Wheel weights on them.   The catalytic converter still has the original ink stamp on it.   The car has no corrosion on the aluminum parts and all of the anodized parts are still shinny.   The tie rods ends are still orange. and the sway bar links are still shiny silver.   You won't believe how clean and original this car is.

The car is totally rust free.   It was sold new in Lexington Kentucky.   It was purchased new as gift for Christmas by a fellow for his wife.   The car was rarely driven and then parked in 1996.   It was always kept in a Climate Controlled Garage.   I purchased the car in the spring of 2016 from the original lady owner.     Taking the advice of a local Mercedes Tech. I purchased a new Gas Tank from Mercedes of Knoxville. Replaced both Fuel pumps. Fuel Filter. Fuel Accumulator and a new Mercedes Battery.  The rest of the car just needed basic cleaning from storage (lots of dust).   Everything works as it should. (all gauges. windows. radio. antenna. Air condition. Heat). The air blows cold. and the heat blows hot.   The car runs and drives great with the exception of the original 30 year old tires are slightly Flat spotted.  

I recently took the car to Mercedes of Knoxville and had them perform a Pre Purchase Inspection.   The invoice shows “Brakes ok. tires at 5/32's.   No Issues Found.   Inspection Complete. ”

You won't believe how nice this car is.   It is truly a time capsule.   The car is show ready and should be in a museum.  I don't believe there is a nicer original 560Sl out there.
